I can't think of a decent combo.

Don't need a combo.

Man, early color hosers were just mean.

This card is nuts! Nutsy-ier than Nuts. Its amazing. You want a combo? One of dozens of functional remakes of Sleight of Mind/Magic Hack. Playing against a Black Deck? Then reword "Sacrifice a Swamp" to "Sacrifice a Plains". Playing against a non-Black deck. Well now they have to sacrifice a swamp to play their spells. Even against multicolor decks that can pay the awkward cost of this text-changed card, its extremely difficult to stop this lock once its out.

Love this card along with Justice. Watch your opponents grow red with frustration!

Combo with Magical hack! Change land type from Swamp to Forest or whetever and any black player not playing the color you choose is locked.

Magical hack could change the text to "Whenever Black is required as part of cost, controller must sacrifice a forest. if the opponent is running black only, or black red, that's finished

You would be right about Magical Hack, but not if you use Balduvian Shaman. Then they are well and truly messed up. Heck use both.

What a great card. If the color hits your opponent is in pure pain. Especially with black mana against enchantments. Im sure he is also happy to see that he has replaced all his normal land with all the special ones that he can't sack for it...

5/5 (as a black hate card)

The Oracled version got rid of the Black and uses 'black mana symbol'. Now you can use this to shut any color down. Change the black to red and red mages have to sack swamps to cast red spells,

This doesn't get much tournament play, I wonder why though, just too slow mana-wise? It seems like it would absolutely SCREW black.

Yeah, your Phyrexian Obliterator is gonna cost.

@Lord_of_Tresserhorn: Hahaha, the Obliterator is almost worth sacrificing four Swamps to play. XD

The Oracle wording for Drought as of 3/28/12 is awful:
Spells cost an additional "Sacrifice a Swamp" to cast for each black mana symbol in their mana costs.

How about:
As an additional cost to cast a spell, its caster must sacrifice a Swamp for each black mana in that spell's mana cost.

@bagilis: Sure Magical Hack lets you hard lock players playing black, but Sleight of Mind and similar cards let you hard lock anyone NOT playing black ("Oh, I'm sorry. All your green spells require you to sacrifice a Swamp").

Mind Bend. You can either replace the "black" in "black mana symbol" or the "Swamp" in "Sacrifice a Swamp" and watch your opponent writhe in horror.
