The worst of the cycle. Though haste is nice it's nearly worthless in lategame and a 3/2 with haste that only can be played in mono-red should have lesser mana costs.

This thing is pretty dang cool if you need to keep up your hasty assault. On turn 3 it's not only playable, but already better than Vulshok Berserker. On turn 4 you can drop 2 of them.

usually a 3/2 haste for {3} or {2}, he's a decent deal. Able to get some quick damage in and combo with pump spells even on a clear board. For example, say it's turn 5.

Cast him for {1}, assault strobe, brute force, fury charm

Attack for 14 trample out of nowhere. If there are no blockers you could maybe fists of the anvil for an amazing 20 damage.

While it takes a lot of cards, this guy is still a 3/2 haste that comes out cheap; nice to have mid game, free to play late game.

Too bad he didn't appear in Koth's duel deck. You know, the one that cares about MOUNTAINS.

Part of a cycle of golems from Darksteel, each with Affinity:

White Razor Golem (vigilance)
Blue Spire Golem (flying)
Black Dross Golem (fear)
Red Oxidda Golem (haste)
Green Tangle Golem (no ability, just big)

These seem to be the successors of Mirrodin's unremarkable cycle:

White Titanium Golem (first strike)
Blue Cobalt Golem (flying)
Black Pewter Golem (regenerate)
Red Hematite Golem (+2/+0)
Green Malachite Golem (trample)

This is a pretty decent creature, especially for red, the color most likely to be running basic lands (black might as well). It curves nicely even today, as a 3/2 haster for 3, and potentially free in the lategame. Red has no shortage of combat tricks, so you can ruin an opponent's carefully planned defense by dropping a couple of these for cheap, and forcing them to make the difficult blocking decisions knowing that you might be holding Fists of the Anvil.

Interestingly enough, these creatures also have an interesting interaction with the Dragon enchantments from Scourge, such as Dragon Scales. While they have a higher printed CMC, they can actually come out much sooner, allowing you to get benefit from these auras earlier than anticipated.
