I use this with Master Apothecary, but I reckon Tigrex is right and this could lead to a win as he described.

I also do the same as Tigrex. It's a wonderful combo. Technically it does not win you the game, but in practice it usually will. Very few decks have realistic win conditions other then taking all of their opponents' life. It's theoretically possible to be using cards that set an opponents' life to a specific number, but again, very few decks can do that either. Other then that, your only real hope is that your opponent can't do enough damage to bring you down to 0 life before he runs out of cards.

Of course, it's a three card combo. Not all that likely to come up. There are, however, other en-kor creatures that could set up the damage shields by targeting a cleric 93287483638754 times, and a few other cards that allow you to sac a creature to gain life eual to its toughness. I don't think there are any other substitutes for this card though.

there is a substitude for this but not a cleric meaning you can't use it in cleric but a rebel combo let you use this a little bit easier not much though (task force with outrider en-kor)

It is a fun combo, and it can be done in a variety of ways with several different cards.

Worthy cause, condemn, and miren, the moaning well are a few of the alternatives for starlit sanctum that aren't cleric specific.
angelic protector, and task force will fill the role of the spiritualist
Any of the en-kor creatures can be used to set up the infinite loop. Lightning greaves will also work but requires an additional creature on the board. Shuko can get the job done cheaper than the greaves and without the extra creature, but works at sorcery speed compared to the en-kor creatures activated abilities.

All that being said, the combo with the spiritualist, sanctum, and nomads en-kor will get you there fastest at turn 3. not to mention that the spiritualist has a huge number of clerics to work with in tribal.

My friend made a pretty sweet cleric deck that uses the infinite life combo and I am trying to understand it completely, so a few questions if you all don't mind. I understand that one could play the ability and give his/her cleric +0/+2, let it resolve then do it again and again, then play the starlit sanctum for life. Now, if someone decided to use one stack and do the ability over and over then use the starlit sanctum in the same stack, would the +0/+2 abilities resolve or would they only get life based on the original toughness do to the other abilities not resolving?

Another question I have, my friend mentioned that "the game action of the sacrificing the creature starts a new stack and the life gaining ability is on that stack", is this true or would it just fall into the current stack that is taking place?

Thank you all in advance for any information you can provide.
