Seems better than it is at first - had to read it twice to realize you have to have multiple creatures to make multiple tokens

Especially good when targeting creatures with enter the battlefield and/or attack triggers. Hello, Inferno Titan.

@Stickers

I just realized that. That makes it a lot worse. I was so excited to copy my Stormbreath Dragon a bunch. Still a lot of fun, and very good value if you're only paying for it once.

Run it with Djinn Illuminatus. Heck, run any Strive card with that guy. Pay the CC again, and you can target everything without paying the strive cost on the copies.

Won me many a game at the prerelease targeting my Spawn of Thraxes.

Two Gray Merchant of Ashphodel's on the field, pay the strive. That's 8 devotion per copy for a total of 16 damage and life gain, all for 5 mana, the same CMC as Gray Merchant.

During the prerelease, I was dealt massive damage by a Spawn of Thraxes, then surprised the next turn when this card copied it, did the damage again, and both attacked and killed me.

Since then I've been thinking about how effective this can be with "enters the battlefied" or "leaves the battlefield" effects.

Some currently standard cards that would be fun to use this with are Armada Wurm, Ashen Rider, Jace's Mindseeker, Kalonian Hydra, and Trostani's Summoner. Or two of Biovisionary for a bit of a different use.

I am kind of surprised that this hasn't been brought up yet, since I'm sure I'm not the only one who sees it, but...

This card is completely bonkers in combination with the right Slivers. Think of it as a mini-Overrun that both scales and provides you with free bodies. Sorcery speed makes it less useful as a combat trick, but hey, there *are* Blue Slivers, and since Quicken is also a thing...
