See, now Kraken Hatchling makes a lot more sense in white.
Also, Doran.

Blocks Boros Reckoner without giving him any damage to redirect. Against hyper aggressive decks this avoids most of the burn (Save Mortars) and will most likely have to be killed by a burn spell after it has successfully blocked something. 4/5- Favorite P/T for vanilla creatures.

The Hatchling works muc hbetter in blue however any creature with a CMC of 1 is a threat in a draft.

"When I grow up, I want to be as strong as a Pillarfield Ox!"

I really should go back through all the vanilla cards and read the Theriad.

The Theriad appears again! Also, that is the most defensive one-drop I have seen in a long, long time without the word "defender" in the rules text.

This guy is gonna be a major enchantment enabler.

I'm kind of surprised, actually, that White didn't get a Kraken Hatchling before now, seeing as its creatures also tend to have higher Toughness than Power.

My girlfriend killed someone with this at the Prerelease. Her opponent would have been insulted if he didn't find it hilarious.

I want to build a deck with this and the ordeals. I will have my ox hero chosen by the gods!

A spike and a maul are needed to crack their shells, but the taste is worth the effort. :)

I think this card is a bit underestimated. Its a 0/4 that survives any 1 drop burn, and it doesn't have defender either, which I think is the big kicker. Definitely an amazing common creature for only 1

Doran, the Siege Tower EDH! 4/4 for W is pretty darn good!

I think there is a nice place for this in UW control with smite. it might be pushing it, but with other creatures like omen speaker, precinct captain, and angelic wall. smite might be a a good option.

In Limited: Play Ox. Start loading bestow creatures and ordeals on Ox. End up with Giant Divinely Powered Behemoth Voltron with Chewy Ox Centre. Attack. Play Combat Tricks. Watch opponent eat his badly chosen mockery of the Ox That Grows.

Obviously Cheap Removal damages this, as it does all Aura strategies, but welcome to Theros, home of the Voltron. Trust me, great fun.

MtG: OX? I would not invest.

How could this have a rating below 3? It's a 1-drop with 4 toughness, and it doesn't even have defender.
