Well this is certainly worth at least sideboarding in the current Standard game. Lots of Humans throughout the game's history, so maybe even worth a sideboard slot in expanded formats, too. I like it.

Narrow, but instant. It seems like black is getting a lot of super-efficient but narrow cards printed lately like Appetite for Brains. I think discard is the new permission for control and Wizards is trying to push variance in decks.

Any spell that could destroy creature without color restriction is dangerous, but the Human restriction drags it down. Granted, some of the most dangerous creatures are humans but there are other card choices with more wiggle room than this one.

VERY good in limited. AVR is crawling with humans, from Wingcrafters to Silverblades to that pesky Tandem Lookout.

As an extreme fan of her influence on Gatherer to utterly redundify half the comments on this entire set, but also as someone that now thinks he might have an understanding and compassion for Doom Blade Guy, AND as someone who feels that his fan ravings on a billion other cards repeatedly hyperlinking back to She-Who-Must-Stop-Being-Named might incur some kind of debt to society-

Standard is overflowing with humans. This may be a little narrow and for the most part worse than Tragic Slip, but it's decent. 3.5/5
