Great card, weird art.

I think they added that building into the background later, the rest of the art is NOT Ravnica. Also I know some people who wouldn't mind running 12 Armadillo Cloaks if they reprinted it a third time.

According to an article, they printed this because they didn't like Armadillo Cloak's name/flavor. Shrug. Fine with me, that just means we can all run basically 8 copies of the same card.

Not strictly worse then Armadillo Cloak, because the cloak's ability is a triggered ability and so you don't gain the life until after combat damage.

This is probably the card I'm most excited for in Dragon's Maze.

And as most of the comments say: Don't choose this over Armadillo Cloak. Put them both on the same creature.

Armadillo cloak not being modern was it's only drawback for me. This is more than acceptable.

@Continue - Uhhh no, not strictly worse, you can put Armadillo Cloak on an opponent's creature to have them gain life for you. Alternately, you can put Unflinching courage on an opponent's creature while you have Rain of Gore out.

Classic, fun card.

Life gain and enchantments are both tricky, they only work when they're efficient.

This is still efficient years later.

I'm going to print out stickers of the original armadillo cloak artwork to paste over the art of this card - I'd feel like I was unfaithful, otherwise.

"I'm not a cheater, baby! I still love you!"

Strictly worse than Armadillo Cloak, due to how lifelink works compared to the cloak's ability. Still an amazing card. 5/5

Edit: Guys, you're missing the point of what I'm saying. This would be functionally identical to the cloak but for two things.
1) You can enchant your opponent's creatures with Armadillo Cloak as a sort of Pacifism.
2) Multiple instances of lifelink don't stack. Armadillo Cloak's ability does.

Nice addition to Bant Auras. Sideboard it whenever you need to race against damage.

So your telling me that now I can run three of the same card in my edh deck thanks to behemoth sledge. Or 12 in 60 card deck that's awesome, thanks wizards.

@Continue; Armadillo Cloak would not save you if you would die from combat damage while this would since it is a triggered ability so it happens after combat while lifelink would.

I think the one thing that's majorly different between this and cloak is that no matter who controls the creature, you gain the life for cloak.

It kind of creates a pseudo-"Vow of" aura. If you are low on life, you can attach it onto an opponents creature and you'll still gain life. If they attack you, you'd gain the life they just dealt you. Mind you, if they deal lethal, you're up s**t's creek.

I guess the other thing is that this doesn't stack with lifelink. Cloak's ability is a triggered ability, while lifelink's a static ability.

Seriously dumb art and a zzzzz of a name from the classic Armadillo Cloak. If they have unflinching courage why are they turned tail and running for their lives? Why would the huge beastie need unflinching courage to attack two little guys? Travesty.

Well, this still stacks with armadillo Cloak for pseudo double lifegain, so... there's that. :)

Armadillo Courage? Unflinching Cloak? Selesnya Beatdown is a thing, you know. Don't laugh. It works.

Uril the Miststalker EDH sure loves this alongside armadillo cloak.

Although it's very slightly weaker than Armadillo Cloak, 99% of the time it's not going to make a difference -- how often do you actually cast a cloak on your opponent's creature? Not stacking with lifelink is a bit more annoying, but honestly, lifelink creatures aren't that common anyway.

@Guest439773480
For sure. This art not only fails to represent what the card does, but it's also super terrible.

I'm all for the new armadillo cloak, but what the hell happened to the art and flavour?! >.<

EDIT
@Aquillion
Well for starters, it doesn't stack with itself like armadillo cloak does. It also doesn't stack with other sources of lifelink (be it from the creature itself, or another aura/equipment).

My friend has an Uril EDH deck and he stacks this with scourge of the nobilis to get double lifelink (as well as +8/+8, firebreathing, and trample lol). It's still not a huge difference though.

Well, it's a worse armadillo cloak. Still a good aura. (of course it's not strictly worse. No cards in mtg is strictly worse than another, but in most cases, armadillo cloak is better)

Re. the art: maybe I'm missing something but if this is really "unflinching courage," then why are the goblins or whatever they are running away from the rhino-like creature?

What is going on with the art?! There's a tiny goat-man and some weird dude running from a baby dinosaur. Completely random flavor.

Doesn't look much like unflinching courage to me, looks more like running in terror to me.

The name is not that good, but the artwork makes it worse. Waiting for a reprint with a better one.

This card is better than Amramdillo Cloak in situations where you need to block and gain the life to survive. It probably wins more games than situations where you get double lifelink on a guy, so I'd say this is the better card.

This card is amazing with the new Heroic mechanic. In my Bant deck I threw down a Battlewise Hoplite turn 2 and then followed with this turn 3.
Sure, I'll take a 5/5 trample with lifelink AND know what I'm going to draw next turn.

In my opinion, Armadillo Cloak revisited is the most underrated card in Standard right now. Selesnya Aura is a beatdown - throw out a Gladecover Scouts for hexproof safety, mix in Ethereal Armor, and finally the most underrated card from Born of the Gods, Eidolon of Countless Battles, with Unflinching Courage attached, you have yourself an 8/8 hexproof, trample, lifelink, first strike on turn 4. This combo took down a local MTG tourney - Selesyna Charm added works wonders to eliminate Gods, or splash in a 2/2 that can be sacrificed if a sudden Devour Flesh arrives.

Armadillo Cloak is better than this card, but not for the reason you might think: the Cloak isn't affiliated with the Selesnya Conclave, which automatically makes it better. That said, I can't argue against this card's utility, and it'll do if you can't get your hands on its superior predecessor.
