Flavor text is spot on. This card is a perfect fit with detain cards, and even somewhat synergistic with battalion, in that it is easier to swing with three creatures when the opponent can't block.

If they pushed this fool to he probably would have snuck into Standard playability. Oh well.
It's pretty interesting to see an aggressive tapper for a change. With that in consideration, I think that Boros will probably like this card more than Orzhov. Regardless of guild, I think I still want it in limited.

I really love this card. She's one of the stars of my (admittedly casual and weird) tap-creature-based goat deck. She combines amazingly with Springjack Shepherd to tap every creature you don't control, at which point you can swing for face with Gideon's Avenger, Crusader of Odric, or even large numbers of buffed goats. Add in Conjurer's Closet to get more goats every turn, Gideon's Lawkeeper for control until you can build the combo and you've got something which actually works pretty well (at least, in the relatively casual circles I play in).

I've had some fun with this, Akroan Horse is a kind of special note for synergy as the token soldiers will come into play on the opponents turn tapping down potential attackers. Any other instant speed token production is likewise very powerful paired up with this.
