This card is so interesting; I like the art and the flavor.

thats a good thought, Drecon84, but i am partial to filigree angel. Fits the esper shard and you get a lot of life quickly. Find a way to cheat it into play and sac it and you will be able to pay four colorless to get it into play permanently. Something similar to sneak attack, although it doesn't fit the colors.

So if I have this out and something I control with haunt leaves play, can I choose to haunt? For example, I have Blind Hunter out and it is killed. I must put it under Purgatory. Do I still have the option to haunt? If I do haunt with Blind Hunter Is it still under Purgatory?

@Black_Sun28: Yes, Yes, No. Two of your abilities trigger at the same time, so you may choose the order in which they go on the stack. If the Hunter's ability exiles it, it haunts, but Purgatory didn't exile it, so it can't get it back.

Phyrexian mana'ish.

Is there any particular flavour behind the 4 mana & 2 life cost or did they just decide 4 mana was around right and a life cost would look cool?
This with False Prophet. Constantly wipe the board clean.

Found this hitting random, looks really interesting for my casual Birthing Pod deck. Six mana per turn to exile anything I want with Archon of Justice and bring out any six cmc creature from my deck.

Flavor win with Tariel.

Artwork looks like a Grateful Dead concert. This is a pretty cool card and is VERY flavorful.

Progenitus doesn't work with Purgatory because it never ever goes to the graveyard. What you're looking for is Emrakul, the Aeons Torn.
