would've been nice of the cost was 1R or something like that instead of sacrificing a land. Now, its just pretty below average.

Frankly, I enjoy watching my creatures blast by at full speed while taking a mountain with them.

Ah yes, Odyssey. Home of the unnecessary rares. Just pray someone doesn't cast mudhole as you cripple your mana base to use your creatures a turn earlier.

Meep meep!

I guess if you had a landfall deck, you could use this and Crucible of Worlds.

Someone in that card's comment section suggested using it with Zuran Orb, Fastbond, and Stripmine.

I think this card has some potential, if only because it's the only one-drop I know of (besides the aforementioned Orb) that lets you sacrifice lands continuously. I'm sure quite a few decks can make more use of haste than life gain.

At least we know what drug R&D were on when they came up with this.

What if your Herald of Leshrac needed a whole lot of haste after that last time you hit someone...

I don't care how practical this card is, that art and flavor is AMAZING.

So this is like when Neo flew so fast that buildings collapsed behind him?

Pretty niche use, but this is actually good for early game kills with giant monsters if you don't expect to have spare mana the turn you cast them, but you do expect to have spare red mana earlier. For example:

t1 Mountain, Need for Speed
t2 Island, tap the Mountain for Sol Ring, tap the Sol Ring and Island to Tinker out a Blightsteel Colossus, sac a land and swing for probably game.

Its hardly overpowered in and of itself; its just that it can do pretty well with actually overpowered cards such as Sol Ring, Tinker, and Blightsteel Colossus.
