Indeed. Why wasn't this in M12 dammit, it would have been a great answer to the clearly OP snapcaster

Best part is is that is replaces itself!

The card draw is just icing on the delicious hate-cake that this is. Between this and Scavenging Ooze in Legacy, is muscling in on graveyard obstruction. And enchantments are trickier to remove than creatures.

wow, this will see just about every green sideboard in standard, assuming they don't use Tormod's Crypt the only problem i have with this is b/c it can be removed (unlike Tormod's Crypt most of the time) and this doesn't hose flashback

yyyyep. This + Tormod's Crypt were clearly put in because Grafdigger's Cage wasn't enough. OR...because Wizards is going to 'Metalcraft' our old friend Dredge into something new and less broken, but callbacky and scaryLOOKing, if not actually something to be afraid of?

Is it just me, or are those runes in the art reminiscent of Runic Repetition?

This doesn't hose flashback which means you get to use it as anti-reanimator tech in your flashback deck unlike Grafdigger's Cage.

I'm in a casual playgroup. I'm the one who uses the most graveyard tricks in the group (and that, by far). I'm the one who pulled this when we bought boosters together. Am I supposed to be happy they didn't pull this? Or is this some sort of irony? :D

Opened up a foil, it's really beautiful - the runes at the bottom of the stones are sliver and glow. Nice.

0 stars all the way. First the Wizards bring out this card, followed by lots and lots of mass graveyard removal. They really didn't look much into the future when coming up with this card.
What were they thinking? Let's make Reanimator decks less strong, since Extirpate is not enough yet?
Instead I would love to see something supporting the use of graveyards: "your graveyard has shroud from spells or abilities your opponent controls"

Why doesn't this just say "Cards in graveyards gain shroud."? Would it really be that confusing for new players?

@Yozuk: Shroud only applies to permanents and players
The weird thing about this card is that it can be used as yard hate against, for example, reanimator strategies, but it can still be used as an anti-hate card for decks that abuse the graveyard but they don't specifically target cards in it (example: vengevine) to prevent things like extirpate and deathrite shaman from ruining your day

Interesting card that replaces itself, but most graveyard hate does not target things.

Funnily enough, this actually works as anti-graveyard hate! It will keep your opponent from clearing things out with Withered Wretch or Scavenging Ooze or what-have-you.

Not just useful as graveyard hate, but can also be used to protect your own graveyard shenanigans against opposing graveyard hate. For example, use this with your undying or persist creatures to prevent Deathrite Shaman and Scavenging Ooze from eating them up.

Wait... Seton, Krosan Protector got a flavor text gig in M13? 11 years after being printed in Odyssey and basically being ditched, never to be heard from again? How peculiar...
They did the same thing with Baron Sengir on Elixir of Immortality. Are these merely easter eggs for long-term players, or a sign of things to come?
