One of the greatest lands of all time, and the art is... astonishing.
A fantastic choice.

I probably will pick up this set of FTV just for this card..... Beautttttiful

Currently rated higher than every card in Gatherer except Mishra from Vanguard.

If you ruin that, I will cut you. This is basically what everyone who has ever looked at FTV, Duel Decks, or Premium Decks spoilers was waiting for-maybe not 'this card, SPECIFICALLY', but definitely 'a super rare card, now foiled out, worth a ton of money that's very powerful with sweet new art and is practically impossible for most people to get' I don't know if we'll ever get Force of Will, but at least we got Maze of Ith! :D

A reprint that makes it feel like Wizards DOES sometimes believe in Christmas and Santa Claus. :D

I'm just glad it's actually a maze this time, instead of a .... thing?
But seriously, there really couldn't have been a better choice than this.

I'm just waiting for some *** to come along and vote this less than 5/5.

It'd be cool to have a "From the Vault: Wealth" set with the expansion symbol as a $ and the cards being the 15 most expensive secondary market value cards that aren't on the no reprint list.

And by "cool" I mean "rage inducing to everyone who deals in those cards".

Great reprint or Greatest reprint?

Seriously, if FtV ever got sold at MSRP, this would have been the card that sold me 4 Realms, single-handedly. Though Urborg and Cephalid Coliseum help push that along.

Also, 14 votes. Still 5/5. FUCKYAH.

Absolutely killer art. I doubt the community would ever have forgiven Wizards if they hadn't included this in FTV: Realms.

It's nice, but this art just isn't as good as the Judge Gift Promo art (Zoltan and Gabor!).

The best FTV land.

One of the only cards they got right in this From the Vault. It should've been:
Maze of Ith
Underground Sea
High Market
Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth
Vesuva
Strip Mine
Tolarian Academy
Gaea’s Cradle
Forbidden Orchard
Library of Alexandria
Thawing Glaciers
Mishra’s Factory
Kjeldoran Outpost
Rishadan Port
The Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale

Unfortunately, this would cost about $1000.

Some son of a monkey's uncle who was never hugged enough as a child downvoted both this, AND Mishra. They did just for spite. F** You Random Stranger- You just ruined Gatherer. Seriously, I want your account banned more than any other.

No amount of the MasterofEtherium comments or TimmyForever comments could ever dishearten my faith in humanity as much as you did. You just saw that something was rated 5/5, and even though it was probably over-rated a bit, you decided to take our dreams of some idealized fantasy world where something could be Perfect, and Loxodon Hammer them to pieces, for the sake of realism or whatever misguided Christmas-hating magic-not-believing-in person you are, you... you... There is no curse in Elvish, Entish or the tongues of Men worthy of this treachery....but I will try:

JACE you.

Duel Decks: Jace, The Mind Sculptor versus You. Have fun not winning. :P

I prefer the old art, to be honest, but it's very nice to see it reprinted!

darthparralax: I feel like ever FTV set has had one or two hard to get super chase cards. I think mox diamond was worth more and harder to get than was.

@swords_to_exile: the old art is a maze as well. A maze of intestines you have to crawl through to obtain your freedom. What's more terrifying - a labyrinth with lightning above it (new art) or a foul, stinking, DARK, living maze made out of the innards of some strange beast, where you have to blindly crawl through before it digests you? Yeah, thought so.

What if they made an enchantment with this ability, that costs 0, but you cant play lands the same turn you cast it, (rock jockey)?

Clearly, this "land" is overpowered!

Don't forget Prismatic Omen, just in case you want this card for mana for some odd reason.

@Agent1103: You also need some lands that tap for multiple mana in that combo.

I've never understood, from a flavor perspective, why this card untaps the creature in question.

So, tapping usually represents a creature being busy doing something. Often, it means that creature is busy attacking your opponent. Sometimes it means they are busy zapping your opponent with a spell (Prodigal Sorcerer) or helping you power your spells (Llanowar Elves). Regardless, it means they're busy.

The only way I can think of for a maze to stop a creature from attacking is if they are trying to get to you, but encounter a maze they can't solve, stopping them from getting to you. Wouldn't wandering through a maze keep a creature pretty busy?

Then again, using the same logic, I also think that flying creatures (and most other forms of evasion) should be unaffected by this as well, but that would make the card a lot less useful.

I like the old art also.
It made my feel so claustrophobic thinking of crawling though a maze of intestines.

A friend was telling me about this card and was really confusing me. He said, essentially, that creatures that untap during combat do no combat damage. We were talking specifically about this card, and I wasn't sure what he meant, but now that I see the card it makes more sense.

Use with Master of Cruelties or Lim-Dul's Paladin...neither assign combat damage to opponents, anyways...

I didn't understand how good this was until I realized it's ANY attacking creature. Brutal.
