Playing an infect deck with this avatar is like playing against someone that only gets 5 life, with no possible gain.

Quite a lot better than his brother's avatar, if you ask me. But why does he look like some kind of steampunk samurai?

I'm pretty sure this is the only Magic card in all of Gatherer with a 5.000/5 rating - from 26 people.
My God, this is powerful.

FIVE POINT OH ON GATHERER!!! How do you like me NOW, Brother?!?!
I personally cannot bring myself to ruin this spotless record. The card is perfect, but frankly the character himself was a bit of a petty, whiny jerk, and had lots of 'issues' when it came to trying to outdo Urza. I sincerely hope nobody insists on down-rating this card just because of the whole 'Mightstone'/'Weakstone' thing....if this was Urza's card that had the 5/5 rating though, that's exactly the kind of petulant crap Mishra himself probably WOULD do. However, it's Mishra's flaws as a person that make his story so interesting to read. If he were perfect, 'the Brothers' War' would have been:
Urza: I want the last peanutbutter sandwich in the fridge! Mishra: OK, you can have it. Problem. Solved. Boooooring. Sooo glad he was enough of a tool to put the entire Multiverse at risk of annihilation instead xD

Wow. 5.000 rating.
Darth, Urza was just as petty as Mishra. In that scenario Urza would have been like "well...I'm going to eat it in front of you, and make it sound delicious. Then I;m going to grow up and be an abusive husband and father."

To even think of voting this down is pure trolling. Mishra you can threaten my multiverse any day.
EDIT: Someone down voted it between 50 (my vote when it was 5.00) and 56 (now 4.839).
Screw you guys for ruining something so perfect!

Well Lord of Liege, looks like there is a Pure Troll out there.
:'( To think, THIS is what happens when Wizards gives us such a nice present as that new Maze of Ith. (Sorry, I autocarded it from there, and didn't realize somebody would be so hateful to see the comment as 'Dear Troll- go here to *** everyone off')
I hope Jace Mind Sculpts whoever did it :/ Or we could feed them to Lord Bolas o3:)
And yeah I have two accounts- well sometimes there's just so much to say about a card, and they don't give us enough reprints to say new things about...and I'm a bit vain about my comments that get liked, and editing resets the like stars....:3 well, come on- admit it: I'm sure many of you have double or triple accounts too for these reasons. :P

Alas, fare thee well 5/5 rating. I hope to see you again some day. I remember this guy from battlegrounds. I always wondered where they got the look from. Good memories; I played that game before magic proper.

Sure, Mishra was a butthead. But not so much more than Urza. He didn't really contribute any more to the Phyrexian threat than Urza did. Opening up the portal to Phyrexia was a total accident, and it's never made clear whether it was Urza's or Mishra's fault. They both killed Dominaria, and they both were petty and selfish.
In the end, Urza became the most powerful sentient being to ever walk the multiverse, and Mishra became a Phyrexian slave/zombie/robot. Funny how life works sometimes.
I guess Mishra is a slightly worse *** than Urza for sleeping with his brother's wife.

Ball Lightning-type cards are good if you don't want to go the Infect route.
