easily abused and friggin huge. great for almost any g/r creature decks. emblem of the warmind? fires of yavimaya? yes. put it in a stupid pandemonim deck.
This dude is sooo friggin awesome! I love how a lot of these cards from Scapeshift have the return to hand cost when cast. It causes a lot of cool interactions and makes for some awesome deckbuilding!

Seen this out on turn 3
Turn 1: Forest, Llanowar Elves 2 mana Turn 2: Mountain, Thornscape Familiar effectively 4 mana for red/white spells Turn 3: Any mana producing land: This guy, return Llanowar elves
Opponents proceed to panic unless they have removal or counters within 3 turns of this being out (bring out counter creatures is usually a bad answer cos said deck may have burn spells to kill them)
5/5 for sure. As Doitpow mentioned, in a R/G deck, you can easily get this out 2nd turn (and I have multiple times). I love this card, and have since I first laid eyes on it. IMO, best card of the set (with Terminate being a close second.)

@HellkatOverlord my understanding: "That didn't happen naturally," said Multani. "Rath's overlay is interfering with the Æther itself." -- The only gating flavor text. All gating cards show a "gate" (also the planeshift symbol) something small being sucked in (a human or elf in this case) and a large thing emerging (in this case, the Wurm that the card represents.)
