Oracle of Mul Daya, coming out in Zendikar, is much better.

@rubber

that's not the point about rowen. Oracle of Mul Daya might be better anyhow, but rowen is to keep you from drawing a land card, not get additional lands.

Oracle of mul Daya is better becasue they both do the same thing, except that Oracle lets you play the land instead of drawing it.

Best if you have a way to draw cards during an opponents turn too, to have it trigger more often. Still, in small decks it's not that great, since most decks have land fetchers which reduce the chance of drawing lands late game, and thus reducing the chance of this doing anything useful.
In large decks it's playable though.

Also, as a general rule, enchantments are more difficult to remove than creatures.

I think the real utility of this card is that in the early game, it helps you get more land out by letting you get to it faster, and in the late game, after you've Harrowed and Rampant Growthed all the mana you need, it helps prevent you from topdecking land when you need something else.

This and its brother, Primitive etchings, are both pretty good in the right deck. Do note that when you trigger this in your opponents turn, you can get another card. Fun with looters, cycling, and such shenanigans.

Oracle of mul daya is so much easier to remove than this, being a creature versus enchantment.

What happens if i control rowen and Abundance? Instead of drawing, i will declare LAND for ABUNDANCE then for example, It was a basic land card, Will Rowen triggers me to draw again? then instead of drawing, I do Abundance's ability for the second time?
