If your running a theshold deck with a hint of blue the card Tolarian Winds can be of great asset, Not only is it a great way to get a fresh hand, Pair it up with Lotus Petal and BOOM you have threshold.

Talk about enabling threshold.

@ttian: the point is if you have the ascension out then you'll have more instant/sorceries in your GY so you'll get your two counters quicker and thus get to copy things more.

i also built a draw deck featuring this (once you've gotten a massive hand) and Praetor's Counsel

@ttian: That's because these aren't winds from Tolarian, but winds from Tolaria, duh!
And if you want to know for certain what kind of winds they are: Why not ask the winds?

(Please excuse the troll feeding, i tried to get something funny out of ttian's repetitive dull puns for once.)

With a Spellbook or similar effect and lots of cards in hand, playing this with multiple Jace's Erasure is fun times. Round it out with an Elixir of Immortality and you've got one upset opponent at the kitchen table.

As so many things, utterly broken with Tamiyo's emblem.

On its own, it does not do much. Good with decks that want to use their graveyard as a resource.

The illustration reminds of Mickey's dream scene from the Sorcerer's Apprentice in Fantasia.
