How can people not give this card 5 stars? So, 1 mana to draw and discard 2 cards is not enough? Then turn 2 do something awesome like reanimate, or discard turn 1 a basking rootwalla?

I agree with CheezeItz, how can you not give this a 5? It rules. Whether you play with madness, reanimation, dredge or any combo deck you should run a playset of these if they're available in your format. It's THAT GOOD.

This little sorcery has perfect synergy with about 254,000 cards. 5/5 easily.

It always says "draw two cards, then greatly benefit yourself twice."

I always love the moment when I manage to play it in the first turn and draw 2 cards then put 2 Basking Rootwallas into play.

Brainstorm is conditionally better but decks that use this to their advantage find this infinity better. draw 2 and 2 basking rootwala in play. im in!

The reason its not 5 star is cause 5 star rating are for a cards that should b in 99% of all decks of the color of that card and although its brilliant for a lot of decks it does not belong in all blue decks.

Brainstorm does still edge this card out in most blue decks for the simple fact that discarded cards r useless unless u hav a way to use those cards.

This card is soooo good in a U/G madness deck.

Besides just madness, sometimes, you have the three lands your deck needs in your opening hand, or in the top 9-10 cards. Dropping a land and something you can grab Reclaim later

Better than Frantic Search, even though Frantic Search is free. Since by the time you can cast the Search you don't have a lot worth getting rid of unless you're playing a U/B reanimator.

It's always fun to see someone with a Basking Rootwallae and an island as their only land. 5/5

I ran four in my UG madness deck. Turn one draw two and play two basking rootwallas for free? Yes please!

Urza: I know how I can make it even better! 'Then untap one land you control' I'm brilliant!

all non-blue Planeswalkers: o.O screw. you.

Doesn't seem all that careful to me.

I put this in my The Mimeoplasm EDH deck. Oh my, the fun things I've dropped in the yard one turn, followed by a next turn beatstick of doom!

Is Frantic Search better? Who knows, because I run both.

I wonder if this plus Faithless Looting will be enough to empower a solid BlueBlackRed Grixis Reanimator build.

If the name was accurate, then it would just be "Draw two cards".

I don't understand why red gets a better version of this that has a flashback cost.. (Faithless Looting)

The flavor text should say:

"Decks are like crops-they must be thinned for best yield."

Excellent library manipulation. Reanimation goodies. Putrid Imp is better on T1 as an enabler, but this card lets you draw more options. Perhaps use both?
