Yeah, what he said, but at the same time there's usually better stuff to boomerang, unless you get multiple boomerang guys out, then this is nice cause it just costs one

This card is beautiful. Then again, I'm biased because I like insects... As with Timberland Guide, this is all about flexibility. For the low cost of , you can cast it early as a 1/2 blocker, or cast it lategame to give one of your creatures a boost (and get a blocker). You could even use it to cancel out Undying effects in a pinch. Now, this could be a teaser for the return of Graft (or something similar)...

it's an ironshell beetle with 1 less power and mana. that's good I guess.
must look good in foil

Hey, if nothing else, it's a cheap and easy creature to abuse with Roaring Primadox.
I prefer to call him Blink Beetle. Great effect in {G} and in my opinion is better than Ironshell Beetle, since it can target itself (thus making it a 1/2 for {G}) if you really need it...

Another sneaky counter to undying. If it takes over as a strategy red/green has some nice sideboard cards to battle it.

I'm using it to negate Treacherous Pit-Dweller's drawback in a way that avoids producing a two-for-one (If they kill the dweller or bounce it, you've still got the beetle itself. It might only be 0/1, but you can sacrifice it to something like Demonlord of Ashmouth or even stick a Rancor on it and swing away!)

It actually works nicely against undying cards too.

this is a good cannon folder for cards that use counters. or a good counter to undying if your enemy is using it.
This card works wonders if used with recursion effects that remove a chr from play (flicker). Or use it as a sacrifice chr, and blood artist your enemy...makes for a good chump blocker.
Seems like it'll be useless as a 0/1. but for 1G to add a counter while coming into play, it can be used quite frequently.
I would rather it were, maybe, a 1/1 that said "When Bond Beetle enters the battlefield, put a +1/+1 counter on another target creature." But that's just my personal preference; still a nifty nugget.

Now that Corpsejack Menace is out, this might be a great one-drop in a deck with it. Pay to get a chump blocker and a permanent +2/+2 boost on whatever creature you want =D

At worst, it's a 1/2 for 1, which about fair. And if you draw it later in the game, you can pump up a more useful creature.

Beetlebond (When this creature enters the battlefield, you may bond it with an unbonded creature. They remain beetlebonded for as long as you control both of them.)
When Bond Beetle becomes beetlebonded to a creature, put a +1/+1 counter on that creature.

Oracle Ruling: Bond Beetle can Beetlebond with itself.

This little fella is always in my commander deck. Partially because I always play green. Primarily because I got to humiliate Olivia Voldaren with giant growth. Plus it synergises with my three favourite abilities, bloodrush, fight and flicker.

Also combos strangely with Primordial Hydra.
