This card if 15 kinds of fun. I wish it was a 4/2 for 1 less mana or at least had trample, but such is life. Becomes reusable removal with Swarmyard!

good to take out a creature with a mana activated ability when your opponent is tapped out. Unfortunately, it doesnt untap a creature to allow it to block. Still can be useful though

This card is a beast, I like to use it as a solid attacker, and basicly functions as a psedo-Terminateon most creatures, considering most creatures will still have less than 4 toughness by the 5th turn.

This card with green, primal rage for one forest, one colorless can make this trample, plus the opportinity if ran with giant growth and planeswalker garruk makes him an assassin of sorts that can alter games instantly...

Just one mana too expensive to cut it... But he can be fun.

this card would be much more viable for 1 less manna. and I feel his flavor would work better with flash thatn these other effects

Feels like a Yu-gi-oh card. haha. The name and the way it can directly attack a certain creature.

Four power isn't doing much of anything on turn five, so I agree that it is overcosted.

Seems like the Ambush Beetle isn't doing its job very well. Those guys look completely unfazed.

I enjoy the flavor of my opponents Fauna Shaman skulking around some rocks near the edge of an all-out brawl, when suddenly the rock she's hiding behind unfolds into a three-meter insect and devours her. Because of DacenOctavio's post, I imagine it saying something along the lines of "WHARBLGARBL!".

Suddenly, beetle. In all seriousness though, not half bad. A bit overcosted, but if you topdeck him and have access to, say, Colossal Might, you suddenly have a scary god damned bug.

Feels like a Yu-Gi-Oh card, exactly, RandomLuck!
Good for provoking something the enemy won't block with or making an opening, and is usable is R/G or R/B. Not bad at all.

I don't see what's wrong with this.It can kill an annoying utility or flying creature.
However what would be nice is if it could also untap a creature an opponent controls. Most things you'd want o get rid of are probably attacking you anyway.
All that said, it's a fun card. 4/3pt, haste, dual-color, conditional fight ability, for 5. Anything less and it'd be ridiculous.

Even the color feels like a Yu-Gi-Oh card -- are gold cards usually this yellow? It's hard to believe it's not a reference.

It is a Yu-Gi-Oh card, it attacks your opponents creatures directly before attacking them and its name of course. Great random card to find, seems decent with rancor.

lol 5/5 for being named "Giant Ambush Beetle" I can't tell if that's really creative or uninspired; but I like it.

Giant. Ambush. Beetle.
Needs flash. I don't care if it is out of color and useless . Actually scratch the flash: Ninjutsu.
