Pretty great in Limited. Can beat some face and still block those pesky Welkin Terns or the 2/2 drakes from Talrand's Invocation.
Also, first comment.

Vigilance goes a long way towards being a great blocker. It's also weird to have a spider with equal power and toughness, but I think it's fairly costed for what it does. And what it does is block all sorts of flying nasties. Between this, Deadly Recluse, and Silklash Spider, M13 is bringing some deserved love to an obscure tribe.

A spider that has an even power/tougness body? That's new. Also, it has freaking eyes on its legs.
I can see draft matches being won on the back of this guy. Decent body with relevant abilities for a fair cost. Also, a vigilant spider is pretty neat flavor too.
I guess quite a few players will happily accept this as a replacement for Giant Spider, the last core set survivor leaving us for the first time in M13. Especially at its rarity level it's a quite powerful green creature. I'd definitely like to see some of the "standard" creatures of the core sets, which are underpowered even in a casual environment (e.g. Canyon Minotaur, Harbor Serpent, Fire Elemental) to be replaced by something more useful and stylish like this.

Hey it's like a really bad version of Serra Angel, which is funny since Green is suppose to get the best creatures. I guess it's hard to get many good creatures if your evasion is lacking. Which is where Hexproof comes in! Dun dun duuunn!
Serra Spider, you make the Rock more than feasible in Sealed.

Don't move. It can't see us if we don't move. Flavour text reminds me of the Tyrannosaurus from Jurassic Park. Except of course this can see you if you don't move. hmm, must just be the wording.

Giant Spider, you will be missed. This guy, on the other hand, isn't exactly a disgrace to the title. I'd look forward to opening a few of these guys. Big, efficient, and good at blocking. Could hardly ask for more in a spider.

Absolute bomb in the pauper cube. I will first-pick this during any draft and start forcing green hard. Huge vigilant beaters that can block almost anything are pretty good, I hear.

Some spiders eat birds! This one eats angels. Delicious.

Fantastic creature for drafts! This thing is even playable in budget constructed.

Think this thing is annoying to play against? Try facing one with a Ring of Kalonia on it.

This spider is incredible. I can't believe it is common. Seems more like an uncommon to me but I'll take it.

Vigilance is really the perfect complement to reach. Can swing in and stay back to block fliers. This card is a worthy successor to Giant Spider, and I hope it shows up in more core sets to come.

I always love seeing green vigilance, and Spiders really deserve it. I give this card props for being not only a playable Spider, but a really good Spider. Also, this makes Spider decks that much more possible.

You're not Giant Spider! WHAT DO YOU DO TO HIM?!

its kind of crazy to think that one colorless mana makes giant spider get 2 power and vigilence. sounds like a good deal to me.

Incredible in limited, especially since given how many cards are in a draft, you're more than likely to see at least two of these floating around.

Congratulations, your Serra Angel has devolved into a Sentinel Spider!
