Worked with Bloodthirst in M12 and works with Exalted in M13.

As both this and the previous core set have shown, it is the environment that determines the function of a card just as much as the card itself, as shown by Jake1991 before me.

Protip: Likes to be surrounded by worshipping creatures.

Yeah this is going to be huge in limited. It's always great to have one drops that can demand removal attention.

Hmm.. hmm.. HMMMM... What does this card remind me of? Ah yes, I know! Soltari Foot Soldier. This is shadow! Not that there's anything wrong with that. I loved Shadow.

Mana curve here is obvious in limited.

Turn one: This

Turn two: Dark Favor, swing for 4.

Turn three: Servant of Nefarox, swing 5.

Turn four: Mark of the vampire, Swing 7 with lifelink.

gg if your opponent has no removal. All these cards are commons too. If you wanna make it more nuts, equip a Ring of Xathrid on it somewhere in there.

Good card.

This + dark favor = GG every time for me in limited

Also within the top 3 exalted cards in M13 and yes I know it doesn't have exalted

Pretty much what's going to tick off your opponent if you're running a White/Black Exalted deck. Could also be ran in a Green/Black deck if buffed correctly and at the right time.

So this card is unstoppable with normal cards...unless I have a special card designed to get rid of an unblockable card, then I can be eaten up in 20 turns, and never be able to get rid of it?

Use this with two or three exalt, attack with this card. Your opponent has nothing except for enchantments which you can stop with other cards.

Super fun in limited and standard, and with near unlimited uses. Use it to bring out Rakdos, graft some cipher cards onto it, put Mark of the Vampire on it, play some exalted on it, and just start swinging. It's that simple.

There's some things this creature is not. It's not the greatest one-drop, not in Standard, not in its colour (for me, that would have to be Disciple of the Vault), and not even in its creature type -that honour probably goes to Will-o'-the-Wisp. In fact, it can't even block like Will-o'-the-Wisp does (arguably the best chump blocker ever printed). But it does have one thing going for it: It's unblockable. That gives it potential use in decks such as cipher, spiritcraft, and to a lesser extent, mono-black aggro.

I normally run a black white deck, and if this card gets paired with a Celestial Mantle, it becomes something your opponent will need to get rid of ASAP!

Risky to put auras on it for obvious 2 for 1. Equipment would be nice though.

And yet he tends to do the tormenting.

Cipher, Ninjitsu and 4 of these makes for a deck your friends don't want to play against anymore

I literally cried when this rotated out of standard because I had a really great White/Black enchantment exalted deck, and this jerk was the all-star.
But then good enchantment related stuff came in Theros block and I was okay again.

This and Nether Traitor are a great start to a whole host of neat aggro decks. Equipment, Spirits (thief of hope!) Cipher, Exalted (knight of infamy.)

Get creative and pump out an unblockable black deck!
