Awful. No card with such beautiful art and wonderful abilities should be so criminally over costed. This would be playable at 5, and at it would be at the far end of the power curve, but wouldn't break anything.

For starter, Firemane is a solid creature in play with both flying and fire strike. Her graveyard ability allows burden-free discard/sacrifice effects. One could use cards like Peace of Mind to dump her into graveyard then use the repeating life gain to power Searing Meditation and Ajani's Pridemate. Her reanimation ability, while expensive, will come in handy when you need a creature.
All in all, Firemane is a good card that serves perpetual purpose. She cannot dominate the field like a Baneslayer but Firemane's versatility makes her an easier card to combo with.

Firemane's hard costing is about right. I think it just needs a little bit more oomph to really really make it feel worth playing, but if you don't have cards that can work together, you don't have much of a deck. Behemoth Sledge is a good equip option, Ajani's Mantra as Cyberium suggested is not bad. I would have wanted to stick either Firebreathing on it, or make the grave ability also deal 1 damage, but hey- it's still playable.
2 colored rares shouldn't be quite as good as 1-color mythics for the same price, but they should be a good deal better than 1-colored rares. but, it's non-legendary....it's already got a pretty full textbox. It's kind of sad when a big giant angel creature summon isn't as exciting as a little zap spell like Lightning Helix.
if only the reanimation were cheaper! please. :P

The strength of this card is the free lifegain. Discard two of them to Careful Study and aggro decks will have a hard time beating you down. As for its in-play stats, its a Ramirez DePietro with flying. That does not put it above the curve, though

This is a great card for the deck it is in. It gives you free lifegain for your other cards: Ageless Entity, Ajani's Pridemate, and Searing Meditation. Furthermore, the life gain continues even when it's dead.

"Criminally over-costed" is a bit extreme, but fundamentally I agree - would have been a reasonable compromise, with the proposed reanimation cost of . I really do share in your frustration because it still would be so far from broken even in this refined state. On numerous occasions I've found myself wanting to utilize this card for her flavorful abilities and great art, but have been steered away by the prohibitively expensive mana cost.

This angel needs cycling, draw a card put her in the graveyard start gaining life and the majority of the games exile effects can't touch her in there (Leyline of the void is for less-manly men than you should associate yourself with) I use her anyways just because I like the life gain no matter where she is, and she compliments my phoenixes :D

I just really like the fact that it still gains you life even from the graveyard! Abilities like that are really unusual and exciting.

Its not a bad card if built around. Ajani's Pridemate comes to mind, plus Faithless Looting. You can toss her out without worry, and then late game you have a durable creature to keep bringing back.

I feel like this is Ajani's Mantra with a Madness cost of 0. And also way too large a mana cost to hard cast it unless you have absolutely nothing else to do.

I think it's going to combo nicely with M14's Archangel of Thune. On the field or off, it will be making your creatures stronger.

"To the battlefield" makes this card. Predetermining your turn by paying should return it to the field instead of your hand.
This is really good for casual, but it's just too costly for anything competitive.

Buried Alive, gain 3 life a turn and play tempo, reanimate, beat face.
Gaining 3 life a turn really offsets the life hit you take from Reanimate.

This is a tragic tale of forbidden love between two rival groups of angel. Her mother was Boros, hence the mana cost and first strike. Her father was Orzhov, hence her non-keyword abilities.
