In Otto's defense, who expects trampling snakes?

If you like this card, consider Colossal Might.

Helped me demolish a limited draft last night. Very underrated card.

Great card. Easy to convert into a lot of card advantage, especially with undying. Though its CMC hurts its usability in constructed some. 3.5/5

It's worth a one off in a lot of {G}/{R} decks. Not a card you can really crutch on in constructed, but it can absolutely change games.

While werewovles is the obvious choice, this can really shine in Vampire builds. Saving a Stromkirk Noble or getting a high level of value out of a Markov Blademaster can warrant a build. There is a Vampire ramp build out there with the Bloodlord of Vaasgoth still looking for a home.

In limited this card is one of the best buffs out there, and needs to be taken if you are playing these colors. The power level of having a buffing flashback should never be underestimated.

I have a casual goblin deck built around giving Warren instigator trample, while pumping him up...me thinks he'll like this very much. This is a nice card for limited, where trampling over chumps wins games. This card is a solid four, scary trampling snake eating Otto in his own home, decent art showing the satiated anaconda, three cost is a mite high (compare to Colossal Might) but flashback creates the card advantage, even at four mana. When you want trample it's right there....

Edit: who wastes their time down rating people? It's like "your anecdote about your experience displeases me! Rage rate!" small people...

I'm actually tempted to make a R/G infect deck now. 6 extra poison for one card is no joke and the trample helps you get through. The mana cost is a little high but the flashback makes it worth it.

Colossal might is a bad comparison. Thrill of the Hunt and Sylvan Might are much better ones. As a combat trick with flashback it's very playable in limited, but of these three the mana cost is the highest. It takes 7 open mana to threaten to do what Toth can do with two open mana. Still quite good at forcing damage onto players, though.

As unusual as the numbers on this card are, it's interesting that it's still strictly better than Fanatical Fever.

This is a card you run with double strikers. Nothing else in the game is going to benefit anywhere near as much from it as they will. This guarantees your Fencing Ace will take down a Loxodon Smiter unscathed and still smack your opponent for 4.

With all the Silverblade Paladins out there a clever Selesnya (better yet, Naya) player can make really good use of it.

I love the morbid humor of the Innistrad block.
