Rimewind Taskmage + Simic Guildmage = repeatable Wrecking Ball for .

Black really doesn't need this. Or have much use for it. Might help take out a pesky land, but at 4 (and 2 black at that), it's way too expensive. I could have seen this for blue actually.

Maybe running with auramancer could be fun?

Why did they change the sweet Worldwake flavor text? The new flavor text is so much lamer.

Anyway, this is an okay card, I guess. It serves as an interesting foil to aggressive black cards like Tormented Soul, Duskhunter Bat, and Bloodrage Vampire--this is a removal spell that those decks can't use effectively, allowing it to get picked up later by the slower decks that need it more.

But I still like the old flavor text better.

I see this as a staller for high-cost, mono-black decks. Use it with things like Blood Seeker, Geth's Verdict, and Stabbing Pain to slow down or cripple your opponent until you can get out your big black guns like Skeletal Wurm or Chancellor of the Dross.

A little bit high on the mana cost, but still a useful card for a nice stall.
