Yup, thats a corset.

Move over Criss Angel, gayest Vampire of all time.

Art aside, the card is solid. Giving all Vampires the Slith ability more or less makes this a pseudo lord.

Remember when several people were complaining about the appearance of Captivating Vampire? They may actually have something legitimate to complain about now.

@MyrBattlecube, why should this cause complaints? It might not be a bad idea to show some diversity of male characters, just as Wizards wisely doesn't resort to the stereotype of chainmail bikinis on women (although sadly this seems to be changing).

In a casual format, This would be amazing to combo with Mephidross Vampire. No matter what, your creatures get beefy. It's a win win situation.

Wait, what is so objectionable about the art?

Anyway, great card. I want to test out Mono red Vampires at some point, just because it seems cool.

I think something people are over-looking is this stacks on top of the other innistrad vampires' +1/+1 counters from hitting an opponent for damage. Throw in proliferate and its no laughing matter.

Ladies' Knight's flavor text works perfectly here, actually.

Solid card, top to bottom. The art doesn't bother me, as I know plenty of people who are attracted to this type of thing, and I'm a believer that if you do fan service for one, you should do fan service for all. :p

"Move over Criss Angel, gayest Vampire of all time."

No mention of Edward?

@occamsrazorwit
Hey, now. Twilight itself was pretty gay, but wasn't the Edward guy banging a chick? I think that counts as being not gay.
Compare to Tom Cruise. He was a really gay vampire.
Not that there's anything wrong with that

@morugatu
Throw in Curse of Stalked Prey too. If you get multiplies copies of this and/or the curse out it could get pretty ridiculous.

"So you're letting Bloodcrazed Neonate through? Ok, you take two damage and she gains four +1/+1 counters."

Surprised the creature type on this card isn't Vampire Nipples.

However, this is a really decent card, especially with Vampire Interloper with its evasion.

I don't much care for the art. Not trying to hate on people who like men; it's just not that cool in any way. The blood on his chest just bothers me for some reason. It looks less like bloody slobber and more like the result of a wound.

As for the card itself, definitely one of my favorite vampires in this set, and a staple in my B/R Vampire deck.

There are a lot of ***phobic people out of touch with their feminine sides posting in here. There is nothing wrong with guys wearing corsets, or any other clothing historically associated with females for that matter. More acceptance, less hate.

I don't mind a bit of fanservice, even if I'm not in the target demographic.

It's actually a travesty that Rocky Horror hasn't been mentioned. For shame Magic community, for shame.

I got a foil of this in Limited, suffice to say many "sparkly vampire" jokes were had.

That is NOT a corset, people. It's just a guy wearing an unusual shirt. A shirt like that could offer more flexibility in battle than the standard "leather shirt" wardrobe of Innistrad vampires.

Love how this guy's ability stacks up if there's more than one of him. Having two or three of these guys can make them build up rapidly fast, and if your opponent isn't drawing any removals, he/she's going to be dead real soon(unless he or she plays some kind of humungous creature, or simply a ton of small creatures to block with).

Though I must admit as gamers you are quite conservative. I don't see any complaints on other unnecesary
babe art cards.

@Biggles you didn't read my coment?

Here's the best way to do this:

Turn 1) Stromkirk Noble
Turn 2) Curse of Stalked Prey
Turn 3) Markov Blademaster
Turn 4) Rakish Heir and Artful Dodge
Turn 5) Spectral Flight on Blademaster. Plus artful dodge again on whichever.
Turn 6) ???
Turn 7) Profit!

Best good use of a Red/Blue deck I've seen in a while. using this setup + another curse of stalked prey, I was able to turn my blademaster from 1/1 into a 11/11 in one turn.

I actually like the flavor of this card. (Corset and all)
Basically a frat-boy with eternal youth who, on a whim, and decided to go slaughter innocents while wearing women's clothing. Seriously, given 100+ years, a young healthy body, and the hedonistic lifestyles that vampires seem to like... This is very doubtfully the weirdest thing that guy has done. Fan-service or not (which it totally was, the writer practically bragged about it) I like this card because it tells me a story.

I bet this card is underplayed in the straight male demographic. I imagine, hypothetically speaking, that some guys would be uncomfortable playing it. Have I mentioned that I'm heterosexual today?

omg! he's wearing a corset! he MUST be a ***sexual!

way to be outdated-ly stereotypical, guys. Not every man in a tutu is 'gay'.

Art aside, this is a cheap psuedo-lord for BR constructed vampire. I will never take this out of my vampire deck, it gives all my older vampires an amazing ability and doubles up on the vampires with the ability already.

Honestly, it's "stereotyping" to think twice about a man in a corset? - and by that I mean, you really would not think twice if you saw it? Where do you live?

Still, this is a great card in vampire tribal. Play it.

Maybe I hang out in San Francisco too much, but I really don't get the obsession with the corset. He's a *** vampire. Vampires wear weird stuff.

That said, this card is awesome. By himself he's a 2/2 for 3 that can grow larger. Giving that ability to other vampires is awesome... especially Markov Blademaster...
Hyperviper
☆☆☆☆☆ (0.0/5.0)
Half the time, I end up using this as an enchantment that can block than an actual beatstick. But still, this thing is amazing in a Vamp Tribal deck when paired with the likes of Markov Blademaster (Going from 1/1 double strike to 5/5 double strike on turn 4? Why the hell not) or Stromkirk Captain (hits the field as a 3/3 first strike) or the obvious Vampire Nighthawk. That and the art makes me smirk every time I have it in my hand. It deserves at least a decent grade for that.

"If you're not having fun, what's the point of living forever?"

I dunno, ask the Ad Nauseam guy. He might even rewrite your flavor text for you--

When the party spilled over into undeath, he stopped calling it having the time of his life.

One might take a moment to realise the possibility that that's a men's corset and he's not actually crossdressing.

I like that this is a lord with a different way of doing it. It feeds (sorry) into the whole flavor of vampires better. Too many lords are "Other creature type gets +1/+1." Obvious to include those. This is a clever lord with flavor.
Also, really solid card. How many vampires are slightly overcosted for vanilla and then have "do damage, get a +1/+1 counter". This does this for all of your vampires. Awesome.

@Motie: Eddie Izzard made the same point.

Interviewer: Famously, you've dressed up in women's dresses...
Eddie Izzard: No, I wear dresses. They're not "women's dresses". They're my dresses. I buy them. It's like when women wear trousers, they're not cross-dressing, they're not wearing "men's trousers".
