If you think of this as 4BB for an 8/1 with regenerate for B, is it playable in constructed? Seems on the weak-side but I wouldn't rule it out...

this is essentially creature removal on legs with minimal maintenance required. Three hits from this guy will cause your opponent to die, and likely two if you have other creatures as well. His power is high enough that most blockers will die and if something blocks it and survives it will likely not survive the next time.

High power, regeneration and infect is a nice combination.
One toughness 1 and seven mana manacost (you want to have at least one mana open to regenerate him) sucks.

Would be 4.5/5 if just one of those {B} were {P}.

Doesn't quite feel like a Nim without the +1/+0 bonus for each artifact you control.
I can even clearly see his Cranial Plating on his head...

Oh well, i guess enhanced phyrexian roving killers don't need that power bonus to be lethal, huh?

Limited: Definitely yes.
Constructed: Definitely no.

More toughness, and I'd be willing to pay 6. But this? No.

This thing saved me plenty of times in the prerelease, especially when combined with my Life's Finale . More than once was I able to wipe the board and keep this guy around to kill off the enemy.

Doesn't do well against infect without Bladed Pinions or something like that, though. Not really something I'd ever use outside of Limited.

This would be a sweet card at 2 toughness.
The 1 toughness just ruins it for me, though.
That said, it's still not a terrible card, if you know where you're playing it.
Try playing it with Copper Carapace. Get a small boost to toughness, and turn it into a two-hit kill.

I think a lot of people underestimate this guy. Infect is a nightmare, and regenerating the guy is DEFINITELY worth it. A game-ender in the right deck.

I think infect and regenerate make this a lethal blocker, especially if you attach Bladed Pinions to it, so as to block flying AND other things with infect.

Quickly becoming the cornerstone of my infect deck. A pair of these and a Reaper of Sheoldred to deal with defenders, and Blighted Agent and a few other 1/1 or 2/1 infect creatures + a Goblin Tunneler or three for my opponent.

Useful, but gets eaten alive by enemy Phyrexian decks.
Also a touch on the expensive side.

This is really good for a common. I like it.

It also spices up horde decks quite a bit. It's a monster to deal with because you can't kill it easily, and out-powering it will slowly wither your creature to death. If you leave it to go through, it will kill you in just 3 hits. On top of all that, it can fill one of the 'chump zombie' slots in the deck without being super vanilla and boring (the chump zombies are to give the players a breather every once in a while).

You guys don't rate this high enough. So here's the card in action in my mono-black:

I'm at 6 mana, with a Cemetery Reaper already in play I dropped a Lashwrithe

Two turns latter, I drop my Toxic Nim and because I'm now at 8 mana, I equip it with the Lashwrithe.

Due to Cemetary Reaper's ability, my Nim becomes a 12/9 with regenerate and Infect, and for a cost of 3 mana, it will be restored to its glorious 12/9 self.

(edit: should it be killed that turn or the next)

And remember: poison counter rule: 10 counters = you loose. 15 = your team looses.
