If you have an advantage in the battlefield, this card can very easily win you the game right there.

This card is insanely sadistic. Back in the day, you used Land Tax. Now you have Sun Titan. You can also use mana rocks or branch into green with mana dorks. Yeah, this card will win games.

destruction3402 couldn't have said it any better..

playing this while your ahead in the battlefield is like the final nail in the coffin, preventing them from advancing or recovering..

i use this in my parfait deck and it has excellent synergy with land tax, mox diamond, and lotus petal..

follow it up with planar birth but make sure you have a tormod's crypt in play..

bench mark card of the classic ernhamgeddon decks back in the day..

this card has too much potential..

Obligatory 12/21/2012 Comment. It's not quite Midnight Eastern Time but, it's within half an hour and.....

It didn't happen! :D
Unless you don't see this comment.

In which case it did. >.>

I recently got back in to Magic after leaving during the Tempest block. My first game in like 15 years I had put together this mono-white soldier deck with all sorts of Revised Ed. goodies. Playing against some dude with a R/G werewolf deck:

Turn 4:
Me - "Armageddon"
Him - "Huh, what does that do?"
Me - "Destroys all lands"
Him - "Why would you do something like that?!?"

I always found it best used in WhiteGreen.

Green has ways to turn lands into creatures, which can be regenerated. Respond to your own Armageddon with a mass regeneration effect. Loxodon Hierarch does this efficiently.

Green also had the legions of mana-producing creatures before anyone else. It also has Terravore, which should be a double-digit P/T trampler after this goes off.
