Crucible Of Worlds and Terravore are anti-synergistic. I'd rather use a Scapeshift any day.

Would do well in a land destruction deck

Destroying all lands and then popping this guy out makes some good times.

Rakdos the Defiler and Conspiracy (naming Demons) can make this a really bad card for your opponents. Other than that, this, wait a bit, cand then kick aa Desolation Angel.

all your suggestions are white or black (difficult land destruction). I have 3 of these and I stick to Red-green land destuction and creature growth. Beat-em down while you slow their mana roll. 3 of these and 2 magnivores continue to get bigger as the game continues.

Talaxar:

My friend rolls a {W}{B}{G} land lock deck, and he used this to great effect in a game with me once. I was running a STAX/Land Lock variant, he a simple land lock with Crucible, Strip Mine, Exploration and a few other key cards. We had the board locked for 25 turns without either of us gaining any ground, until he Regrowth'd his second ordeal after Balancing and Twisting me, swinging for around 30 and getting rid of the rest of my library.

Don't get me wrong; a {R}{G} land destruction deck is simple and effective. But {W} and {B} can make a very viable landkill deck as well.

Run with Foratog? No? Okay then.

@Talaxar: My black land destruction is really nasty. Quite a few people refuse to play it, or break out a $150 sliver deck.

Let's combo this with WOOD ELEMENTAL.

Works really well with any land destruction deck, but look no further than W for its counterpart, Knight of the Reliquary. Instant speed pumps alongside of Wastelanding enemy lands and other combat tricks... amazing way to use this beast.

I like it in a deck with Fluctuator and cycling lands. Get Fluctuator and 3 lands, cycle everything until you hit Terravore, by which point it should be at least a 10/10.

Took people long enough for people to get this guy. He isn't terrible at all. As others have mentioned, he's not bad with Knight of the Reliquary and Armageddon. 4/5

Does Terravore have a power and toughness whilst it's not in play? or is it a 0/0 until it hits the Battlefield?

This, along with Knight of the Reliquary are in my top 5 favorite creatures list. 5/5

@Magic_Jester: Yes, his power/toughness defining ability functions in all zones. Generally, cards with * for their power or toughness are in effect everywhere, unlike cards that use X.

if only they'd reprint it for modern! would love it in land destruction

Synergy with Rites of Spring. I've used this guy as a finisher in a g/r madness deck, works okay.
