This card is the perfect hate if solarflare becomes good, or just recursion decks that have liliana in general. They tell me to discard, I pitch this and they pitch their unburial rites or a dude. You mad bro?

I love how you can use Purify the Grave to keep your opponent from recurring Purify the Grave. That's some flavor right there.
I apologize, but I've never seen anyone play this... even for Burning Vengeance decks!
It will take out two creatures your opponent may want to resurrect later...
But here's the thing: I rarely see people playing resurrection in Standard. Maybe because of its slow speed, maybe because of its lack of Buried Alive... I dunno.
"Well, maybe Modern?" is something you may say, but I'd rather have Relic of Progenitus solve that problem instead.
I'm sorry, I can't look at this card and say, "I'll play it some day"

This card should be seeing TONS of sideboard attention, namely due to one card in particular reintroduced in m13...Rancor.
When a creature dies with Rancor attached, Rancor goes to your graveyard BEFORE it goes back to your hand. The perfect chance to get rid of it.

@Kor6sic6: Maybe that's because IT'S THE SYMBOL OF THE CHURCH OF AVACYN?
Set symbols actually have meaning, you know. That's like noticing that the symbols from the Zendikar block might be Hedrons. GEE, YOU DON'T SAY?

The rulings might be super specific (a case where the opponent has a Purify the Grave?), but they help clarify a common misunderstanding that people can play instants on their opponents turn when the opponent isn't casting a spell or ending a phase or step. This is why I somewhat liked the word "interrupt" better than "instant", because when you don't have priority you can only cast instants in response to something.

I LOVE sideboarding this card in against blue decks, or reanimator decks (and let's face it, a large number of decks you'll run into in standard right now are either reanimator, or using Snapcaster for spell recursion).
Playing Naya, leave one white open.
Opponent - "Flashback Unburial Rites, targeting my Thra-" Me- "Exile that Thragtusk please." Opponent - "... pass turn."
I giggle inside every time. Then this card gets to sit in MY graveyard, and I can scare them into not playing with graveyard recursion as long as I leave one white mana open. The instant speed REALLY makes this card, they can never be safe to use their Snapcaster/Unburial Rites shenanigans as long as I can manage to leave just one land untapped at end of my turn. Definitely warrants an inclusion in my sideboard in the current format.

The Avacyn Restored symbol is something I'm noticing in a lot of artwork from the expansions before it. I'm digging it very much, and this card is included.
@DoragonShinzui: Yeah, I meant that I enjoy the flavor of it, ya turd.

Flashback: No, seriously. Stop that.
That's some flavor right there.
By the way: Super specific rulings ftw
