They still have to play the cards from their hands, and as long as you choose some big creatures without any abilities, you'll be able to handle them when they come charging at you a few turns later with the same ability.

Love the politics of it. This really shows what Commander is about, I love this card.

I refuse to believe the Judgement design team did not play EDH.

The rulings say you can't, destroy the creature if they aren't 2 cards in a graveyard, but this is placed in the card as part of the abilty, not a cost, its after the colon! It's confusing :S

@Luseto: It's because you target the cards in the graveyards, so there must be valid targets. It's no different than casting Doom Blade, which requires a nonblack creature as a target even though that's the ability, not the cost.
NoeKoda is right, it's a great card for Commander. Group Hug decks should definitely run it, as not everyone likes to sit back and let the Group Hug player do their thing - they might think you're just biding your time to come in and win (which you might be) or just not like that you're helping their opponents just as much if not more than them (again, you might be!). It's a great removal spell that gives a player something of your choice, so you can be Group Hug-y even as you blow something up.

Really all of the Advocates are pretty good in a political deck. This one just takes the cake. 4/5

Great card no only in EDH , one drop that can make all the difference since your sending a card to the grave and two come backs but needed to be recast , if you can choose cards you can hang on with anything else thats good maybe a discard or control game .

Need to find a space for this in my U/W control mill deck.
Jace's Archivist + this card is a really nice combo. Return two of their cards to their hand, destroy a creature, and draw an additional 2 cards when you activate Jace's Archivist's ability

I was often convinced this would backfire quickly even in multiplayer, so ignored it, and a friend used it in his human deck.
Foolish, foolish me. The begging you will do when things go south and the player with this becomes a bloody Arbiter. Don't forget, the destroying of the attacking creature doesn't even have to be one attacking the owning player... so if you have this, you can save an opponent AND give them the two cards. That's how you make friends.

Evil, brilliant card.
