Another one of those "so close" cards, in my opinion anyways. Sure, it's a double Unsummon, which is a decent card to begin with. But being a sorcery is a huge setback for this card, and flashback for {4}{U} doesn't help its case. Even with the heavy flashback cost, I'd consider it if it were {1}{U} but instant.
It could have some use in some more aggressive decks for removing blockers twice, but control really needs to bounce those creatures during combat.
One thing I'm liking so far in Innistrad is that even the mediocre cards have very cool flavour.

I thought, "What fantastic art!" and then saw John Avon's name and thought, "Of course!" with a smile.

People see blue and think control. This is actually a great card for beatdown. Get those blockers out of there to get that last few points of damage in.

This should be rated much much higher than the 2.5 range, maybe people don't like that its a sorcery and not instant?

this card almost saved me... but then i realized it was a stupid sorcery.

So many people forget this is a sorcery. I've had at least 3 opponents try to cast it on my turn. It happened so many times that one time an opponent did cast it on his turn and I immediately said "Nope, its a sorcery," and he just kind of stared at me and it took me a moment to realize, oh wait, it actually is his turn, he actually can cast it.

Compare and contrast dematerialize. Sure, it's not the best unsummon effect ever(capsize gets that honour), but it's still very good. You might think that sorcery kills this card, while actually you only need that instant unsummon to either mess up gang blocking or getting rid of something with haste.
Plus, look at the sweet art.

@HuntingDrake: That's such a perfect comparison! Excellent catch!

I wouldn't have minded if this was just a little more expensive, but at instant speed. *sigh*

This card and Grasp of Phantoms come very close to being this format's Into the Roil, but they have big shoes to fill because that's one of the best bounce cards ever.

This card is so sweet in Limited. If your opponent has any kind of a curve, this guy will just wreck it. Not to mention if they are crazy enough to use Equipment or Auras... ouch. Last night, my friend swung a Zombie token into Elite Inquisitor, just to cast a big Festerhide Boar. Sadly, next turn, the pig departed. Silently. :)

I have 4 Unsummons and 4 Silent Departures, along with 4 Runic Repetitions. I get 20 permanents off my battlefield. Even though this is a Sorcery, it's a more then decent card, especially for a common.

This card is great for moorland humans it works to keep control's wurmcoils out of the way, and it keeps other aggro off tempo while not disrupting yours!

This card can't have a rating low enough of the scale for my opinion. It's terrible, six mana to double unsummon, but only on your turn? This turn isn't even close to the caliber of how good unsummon or vapor snag are. I'd even run anything else that is an instant and returns creatures over this card. It's flashback cost is too high to make it a good card. If it's flashback was two or three it be a way better card since it's decent efficiency to return two creatures for even four mana, but the fact that it's still only able to be used on your turn makes it handicapped.
TL;DR, It's flashback cost is too high, it's extremely handicapped because it's not an instant, not mana efficient enough unless you're running it with one or two Catalyst Stones.

What I like about magic most is that cards themselves will not win you game (except few broken cards), it's YOU who need to win the game. You can build perfect machine out of imperfect parts. This proved to be really great piece of my Burning Vengeance deck. When I was fighting my friend's vampire deck, which is really fast and deadly, with Runic Repetition I was able to control the board with this for really long time... and it was awesome :) Still, I would love to see it as an instant, or a pernament bouncing. Let's hope for Dark Ascension...

the card just says "return target creature to its owner's hand" wouldn't that mean you can bring creture cards back from your graveyard to your hand?

Removed 5 star rating from vapor snag and gave it to this. Even though it's a sorcery, it whoops unsummon and snags ass anyday!

Being able to flash it back can turn the tide of the game in your favor. Since, instead of 4 unsummons, you now have 8! And being in the graveyard after the first use, it is exactly where you need it when flashing back, so its like the card never left your hand!
Sure, trading instant speed for this luxury can be a little daunting, but the sheer utility of this card makes it a great inclusion in control decks. A perfect complement to Vapor Snag, Frost Breath , and Grasp of Phantoms .

This card is meh. Much better is that one blue mana aura that comes back to your hand.
