When your handsize matters for some reason, this is sort of like a weaker but cheaper Harmonize.

@channelblaze: 1/1 elves. The tribal makes them far from useless they might just hit the board as 3/3 mana-tappers.

In essence, this might as well read
8GGGG
Put 4 1/1 green elf tokens into play
assuming you play them all on the same turn.

I think the idea is a really good one, and at one less mana this would be pretty cool, but it's just so much mana for some useless 1/1s.

@TPmanW: Ok, so they're 3/3 mana tappers, if you have some number of archdruids out. So.....3 mana 3/3 mana tappers aren't that great for 3, if they're circumstantial, and you might as well cast another lord at that point (perfect, archdruid, etc.)

He's bad, yes, but he gets you more bad cards to make up for it! I... hmm.

The trick is not to play the copies - you want the fact that you just got three more creature in hand to work, instead. Illuminated Folio, Skyshroud Vampire, Wild Mongrel... the Sentinel has potential.

Requires some set up but having three extra cards/creatures in your hand has its uses. With that said, there are better creatures and better ways to get cards.

These guys MAKE my elf-ball deck. Not only are they easy to cast with all of the cards like priest of titania, but they add to my elf count, AND thin the deck. It's the same way with Llanowar sentinel.

Squadron Hawk does it better.

These guys are pretty decent in Pauper though.

Decent in its time, pretty much outclassed by Squadron Hawk now outside of Elf tribal. I guess it's pretty good there though. 3.5/5

Ignoring color and creature type, he's strictly worse than Squadron Hawk in two ways,
because he lacks flying (nothing unheard of in green) and costs one more mana.

However, until we get more cards like those or Howling Wolf, they could be used with Sphinx of the Chimes for some crazy card advantage.
Add some more cards that profit from discarding cards, and/or cards with Winds of Change's effect like Whirlpool Rider, or alternatively Flux, and you got yourself a casual deck.
