@Dohyden: And if you topdeck it lategame, it does nothing.
It gets marked down because, like logic dictates, cards should be rated by their average performance, rather than their optimum use.

@Klaff: that's why u play it carefully and keep 3 cards in your hand at all time, which is not hard for a green deck. not only does keeping cards in your hand keep your enimies guessing but it also makes the scent of ivy valued no matter what time u draw it. the average use value of this card would go up if people just play it right.

Use Land Grant and Dryad's Harbor for optimum performance.
Or, in the situation you provided, you could play Giant Growth, and then all the other cards
You gotta be joking me, use Giant Growth for most green decks, don't say its a great card because you're keeping cards in your hand all the time like a retard! They don't do much there. If you have a green/blue draw deck with shenanigans, maybe, but then it even says "Green Cards"
And I do know this, but I just thought, lands are colorless too, so the cards in your hand have to be non-land (almost always) so to be better you need to 4 green cards, which means its either very green or all green, green has alright card draw, but you're going to die if you have 3 lands and a few creatures down in a green deck in turn 4, unless you're playing perfect curve zoo creatures.
Some decks can use this power well, but not any green deck, don't say people need to play smart by holding cards in their hands, you're just going to mess with new players by saying that.
>There are times to play the card, and times to not play the card, but generally speaking, if you have untapped mana and you can spend it, either spend it, or plan on how you will spend it before you untap.
This card is alright, it really has to have a deck kinda build around it, it ain't no Wood Elemental but its nothing great either. Consider Maro for your deck if you want something similar, where you won't be holding cards in your hand to keep them "guessing"
God that's just dumb, please don't ever say things like that again, don't hold cards to keep them "guessing" in just any deck, and please don't suggest that for almost any green heavy heavy deck

works well in x-land beaty, but not too many others. majority of green decks out there will have an empty hand by turn 3-4
Reminds me of the "number of cards in hand" stuff they did in kamigawa block. I didn't like them either.

Almost always strictly worse than Giant Growth. How often are you going to have 4 green cards in your hand to reveal? Decent early-game when it doesn't much matter, and absolutely worthless late game when it does.

I prefer giant growth. For obvious reasons

Presumably anyone who plays this has some kind of "reveal your hand" exhibitionist streak. In which case, I recommend Land Grant.
