You mean Equilibrium for infinite mana. Oh and don't forget the Jet Medallion to make sure this guy costs less.

Better than Dark Ritual when used with Aluren.

In the Phyrexia deck alone you can play two of these guys and the Phyrexian Negator on turn one with a miracle hand. Safe to say that the Coalition really hates it when that happens.

I've been wanting to kick a Rite of Replication on one of these to fuel a kicked Sadistic Sacrament and a Mind Sludge. There are obviously more powerful things to use it for (Drain Life, among others), but the capacity for destroying my opponent's hand and library that come with this greatly appeals to me.

at rishard_hawk, he is free, but only if you have the mana to cast him in the first place, acts as great fodder for Demon of Death's Gate

Obviously he's free, and yet you can infinite mana with him, but from the perspective we're supposed to look at him from; He can be splashed into a deck to give you three black at a time. So in your red, green, black, jund deck you can hold him in your hand and convert RedGreenBlack into BlackBlackBlack to hard cast your Gravepact.

Memnite is sometimes more useful as a free drop, since it's always free. Priest of Gix has 1 more power and quite a lot of combo potential, and they're both very good cards.

Cloudstone Curio is a better infinite mana combo than Equilibrium. Faster mana growth, and can run in mono-black.

Equilibrium Is not infinite mana, unless I'm bad with the rules.
To my understanding, when you cast Priest, the ability from Equilibrium goes on the stack and while that ability is on the stack, Priest is NOT on the battlefield. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

splinter twin for free mana every turn... but who has ever heard of black mana fixers...

For the Equilibrium combo, I'm pretty sure one priest wouldn't do it. Two, however, could, with one priest returning the other, then the 2nd priest returns that favor.

@Trizeam But you can make that work if you have more than one priest out. :D

How can anyone not think this card is anything but a 5. A free creature w/o manipulation, free mana and free creature with combos.
