Official oracle wording and dark artifact design. Now i like this fellow even more.
And it has an incredible combo potential. When used with Genesis Chamber, his ability will trigger for each creature at least one. It can have a save start with Sword of the Meek, works even better if you add Thopter Foundry, and can become an infinite trampler if you use Mana Echoes as well. Too many cards required for this loop to consider using it, i know, but most of them already do a good job by themselves in the right deck.
And never forget it's all Modular on him. Once he dies just move the counters and get another fattie. A flying Thopter for example.

So couldn't you combo this with Gemini Engine? Everytime gemini attacks he would get a +1/+1 counter, and then once this guy dies you just move all the counters onto the engine. I like it alot myself =)

Where's the beef? Here it is. This has almost as much potential as Arcbound Ravager, the only problems being cost and the fact that it is hard to add counters at instant speed. Scale of Chiss-Goria can help, as can Genesis chamber. If you have a Genesis Chamber on the (battle)field , then play this, then he is Lightning Bolt-proof (if they play a Bolt, just drop the Scale and tap it in response. My decks tend not to be sac-centric, so this is much more useful.

Huge combo potential in any deck featuring artifacts, and a cool picture to boot. At a CC of 4, he isn't too expensive, and his modular ability is awesome.

I like Myr Matrix with Mana echoes while Arcbound crusher is in Play My opponent will not be able to counter all of my token and arcbound crusher
Poor man's reverse Ravager.
Ravager isn't half as powerful without deciples, and get's huge while cards like Cranial Plating and Master of Etherium get smaller. Personally I like this guy better, but that's partially becuase I don't have the $120 to shell out on a Ravager playset.

It seems odd to me that the card type is juggernaut, but it lacks the 'attacks every turn if able' drawback. I suppose that since it predates the Construct creature type, it would have been that if it could. I wouldn't be surprised if this card had the Juggernaut type because Wizards couldn't figure out what else to call it and didn't want to introduce a new creature type just for the one card.

Enduring Renewal, any zero casting cost artifact creature like Ornithopter, and something that can sacrifice it any number of times. I saw this in a 6-way free-for-all in my group.
They really liked it when I played Act of Treason on Arcbound Crusher afterward, hit somebody with a 103/103 trample and then Fling at Crusher's controller. Fun times.
But if you can abuse artifact generation, I guess it's fun. The only problem is that if you're playing with infinite combos, you probably will have better luck with something that isn't quite so janky.

Only problem there is the cost of Pentavus.
a cheaper combo with the same results (basically) is dross scorpion, nuisance engine, ashnod's altar.
