Lodestone Myr works well with Howling Mine. He can tap Howling Mine so that your opponents don't get to draw cards. And he gets to be a 3/3 or stronger with Trample!

This guy is pretty sick with Staff of Domination, too. For each

, he gets +1/+1, kinda like a colorless shade ability. The first pump is free, too.
