It's not that bad. I play it in some edh/commander decks that don't have much card draw options available (like mono-red or mono-white). It's also nice in a malfegor edh/commander deck.

I just realized... You aren't allowed to LOOK at the cards you exile, so you're essentially hoping you got something better. So... it's only really usable if you have a crap hand.

There are definitely better cards out there, but it could work with the right library manipulation or playing cards such as Sphinx of Jwar Isle or Lantern of Insight (personally I'd prefer Sphinx since i don't like the idea of my opponent know EXACTLY what's in my hand) Also although it'd be clunky at best if could potentially be used in a madness deck or a reanimation deck, since if Knowledge Vault is destroyed the cards are put into your graveyard instead of remaining exiled. Overall though...no thanks.

well, you could discard an empty hand and then it's useful.

and Kirbster, that IS an epic illustration.

sadly, there's just better if you want good card drawing. heck, even better wierdo drawing.
Lim Dul's Vault: Take 1 Impulse, and 1 Necropotence. Put cards in a fusion reactor. Out comes this. The product of 1 epic card and another epic card = an even epic-er card. It's cheaper than either of it's parents, and does better than either of them, too. Pain to draw for Necro, Stack instead of draw for Impulse, = Stack your whole library for pain. Best in a format that starts you with more life, like 2HG or EDH

I will, however, be ordering 4x Knoweldge Vault, because it looks too crazy to not own. :)

It's a slow, awkward Memory Jar. Is that something we want?

Does anyone here even have to actually say it? Fine... I'll say it...
Memory Jar was stupidly broken. Your complaining about Knowledge Vault is analogous to saying Basalt Monolith is a slow and clunky version of Mishra's Workshop.
