@Gaussgoat: Please keep in mind that this card is older, and thus strictly worse than, the cards of today. At least, that seems to be R&D's intention.

you're still putting cards into your hand. could be useful with a discard engine to net you a 4-for-1. But now we have Squadron Hawk for the same purpose at half the cost.

I hear this card was good in limited if you stacked your deck.
I'm not sure if you were intentionally not ironic about it, but at least there exists no card with the Multiverse ID 10000. Maybe you were thinking of 21362 or 208279?

This one takes a little creativity, but like Nesting Wurm, Skyshroud Sentinel or Squadron Hawk, you can use the free cards in your hand to do some neat things. Mercadian Masques introduced the first spellshapers, so I imagine cards like this were meant to help you find things to discard that you wouldn't miss.
Some weird things you can do with this:
Jaya Ballard, Task Mage and other spellshapers: Discard the extra copies and turn them into damage. Stormbind or Stormscale Anarch: Use your other 3 copies as damage. Æther Rift: Increase the chances you will have creatures in hand to discard. This can fill up your hand with just creatures and net you some free wolves, freeing up mana for you to do other stuff. Survival of the Fittest: Allows you to get your best creatures by guaranteeing you have 3 copies in your hand to trade in. Tortured Existence: Guaranteed ammo to trade for a dead creature. Strongarm Tactics: You are guaranteed to have a creature to discard, so you can potentially ping your opponent for 4 life in addition to forcing discard. Skyshroud Vampire: Pop your 3 copies to give this +6/+6 until end of turn. Also works with Vampire Hounds, though slightly cannibalistic. Sphinx of the Chimes: Guarantees you draw 4 at least one time. Pox or Smallpox: Provides you with fodder for both sacrifice and discard. May draw ridicule from your opponent.

No thanks!
If you're hurting for 2/2 wolves, may I suggest Wolfbriar Elemental
