In pre-release, I was able to activate it more times with artifacts then with the {w} trigger.
I like the card a lot, especially when my hand is Glint Hawk, Glint Hawk Idol x 2, plains, plains, Forest, Memnite.

If i play an artifact and also pay it's white activation cost, does it becomes a 4/4 artifact flying bird? Also, can i pay the white activation cost like 3 times and get a 6/6 flier? If i'm right, this card is crazy!

Endlessor: No. It doesn't get +2/+2. It just becomes a 2/2 creature. (Imagine turning something into a frog 8000 times for comparison; the last 7999 don't do anything because it's still a frog.)

@ endlessor using its W more than once just have one use: let's say you attack with it and someone cast diminish on it. then you can pay W in order to make it 2/2 flyer again

If you want to get a Myr, activate Glint Hawk idol's first ability, AND get card advantage ALL for 2 or 3 mana is...Origin Spellbomb. Triggers the idol's first ability (let's say, you played the spellbomb) because it comes into play, since its ability says "Whenever another artifact enters the battlefield under your control...it becomes a 2/2 artifact bird creature..." ALSO you can get it when you sac the spellbomb, get a Myr (an artifact), and if you paid an extra white mana, card advantage.

If my Glint Hawk Idol is a creature, and it gets a -1/-1 Counter on it, will that counter be removed when the Glint Hawk Idol stops being a creature at and uf turn?

@Snaterman: No, the -1/-1 counter will stay on the Idol because counters remain on permanents as long as they're on the battlefield even if they have a useless effect on a certain card (ex. putting a flood counter on a creature).

I and a friend both built SOM artifact decks, that pretty much ran the same cards. Except I used these, and he used the real Glint Hawks. I routinely stomped his deck. Why? Because this card is affected by Tempered Steel, while the Glint hawk isn't!
Sure, in the long run, this card isn't all that great. If anything, I think I'd rather play Thunder Totem over this guy, simply for the fact that he's a mana producer to boot.

people really love this card, when its a 2/2 flyer for 2 that you have to pay 1 every time you want to use. nah.
