For Fog with a body attached this could have been bigger or cheaper.

Spore Frog's retarded cousin, but a spore frog deck is coming into view.
Maybe some fogs. And that Sprog Kami...

Ya, definitely isn't my favorite. It's good for card advantage, but that's about it. Too expensive.

Too expensive, too small a body, but I'm glad to see a reintroduction of Flash.

Well what can I say ? preventing damage SHOULD BE CHEAP !

as @ Guest1381794618 says: "Spore Frog says hi. Then he laughs."

Have some laughs when you combine this with Splinter Twin.

prevent damage from OTHER creatures. then if you can prevent and kill something it isn't too bad

Would have been cool to see it with Deathtouch, like Winged Coatl as a cool variant. Anyway, good art :3

Slightly underrated woulda liked to see it be a 3/3 though 3 stars.

This with Splinter Twin is really nice. This actually helped me win a match in a draft.

You've got to understand that flash isn't going to be free all the time. Flash usually costs extra especially when it's off color like it is now.

Well, if it was 1 mana less, it would be nice against Consume the Meek, but it's 1 toughness doesn't work too well.

If it said "Prevent all Damage", and left out the word 'Combat' it would be more of a bomb.

But ya can never argue about it when it comes to playing a green deck relying on Instant speed effects...

Basically a situational card with something that could dupe it, it might not be so bad after all...

great art, great flavor

there is the hidden gem in this card that it still does damage when it comes into play, unfortunately it doesn't have enough damage to do. For it's cost it could've been a 4/1 not great but a fun combat trick, or it could've had deathtouch and been a new, expensive but slightly more potent, winged coatl.

you guys dont see the advantage here?! yes its 5 mana but heres the good part, your opponent has no clue its coming till you slam it on the battlefield! and after that point all his creatures are tapped, allowing you to just freely all-out attack after that and kill him! (if you have enough power on the field) which by the time you play this you should have enough power

Turbo Frog. That's all I'm gonna say.

I always throw one or two in my draft decks if I'm going green, and it's saved my neck more than a few times. If you play it right, it works like a Nekrataal against any creature with 2 toughness and saves you from having to leave blockers open for a turn.
Obviously crap in any other format. A 2/2 for 4 would have been decent maybe.

"When Haze Frog enters the battlefield, each other creature gets stoned until end of turn."

The flavor of this card is win. Frogs were awesome in the first place, but now you can make your Frog deck even more awkward/fun. Oh, and combos with Omnibian to take down larger creatures :)

So this is what happens when you give Spore Frog some weed...

I don't even think this is playable in limited. It needs to be at least a 3/3.

I think this fella gets a bad wrap because of it's lacking efficiency, but it still has quite a bit of potential against aggro and weenies. It's fog, plus a chump blocker for the next turn. With mana batteries and land searchers out the wahzoo this card is largely playable as an alternative to Fog (4 Fog, 2 of these) in late game where you just sit on mana for rounds on end. Also, it isn't spore frog because spore frog doesn't have Flash.

As for mana breakdown... it looks like
1G-Fogging Creature
1G-2/1
1-Flash

Not a bad card, but more suited for a 2-of, 3 tops. At worst it's good Mind Rot fodder, at best it allows you to avoid blocking to create a large creature base and start stomping on aggroweenies

In an RoE draft I got a Splinter Twin on this bugger and locked down the rest of the game. He never got any more creature damage through and couldn't get rid of the frog before I killed him.

Expensive, yes, but I have a fondness for him.

Darn.

I feel that with this guy's costs and abilities, it should have been bigger to at least give it a better chance of eating an attacker.

Que sera sera.

will go straight into my frog tribal...
but seriously does adding fog on a 2/1 body produce a 5cmc card?!

Fact: You can never play this card without at least one drug joke being uttered.
Opinion: I am very okay with this.
Fact 2: It is now the only reason I run this card (albeit only in casual decks).

I don't get all the hate for this card. It can create card advantage if you play it during your opponents attack and block something to death. And you'll still have 2/1 body.

This fits nicely into draw-go style of decks that want maximum flexibility and don't like to tap out on their own turn. I can totally imagine playing this, and loving it, in some weird blue-green control alongside Mystic Snake, Draining Whelk together with Curfew and Crystal Shard.

This is not a bad card, you are.

Yeaaah, get him on a mimic vat? Psssh. Back in the day turbofog used to be big where you just locked down your opponents combat phases and then milled em to death. Seems like it would be good, idk.

Yo dawg so I heard you like fog so I put fog in your frog so you can frog while you fog
Fat_Corgi

1 cmc for the fog, 1 cmc for the surprise 2 damage to an attacker, and 3 cmc for a flashed 2/1. Seems legit.
