This card is insane for mono white life gain decks. NUF said.

Seems better than Angel's Mercy, but spells that only function as life gain are boring.

10 life?! OR more! I didn't realize how good this card is when I first looked at it! This card rivals Heroes Remembered.

it is a nice card, combine it with kor cartographer, 6 lands turn 5, 12 life, and it reinforces emeria sky ruin, in a play as many plains as you can theme

Life doesn't win you the game. Except if you play something like Sanguine Bond. In which case it'll be hard to get this card to be effective.

Bad in limited, bad in constructed, not interesting. A casual mono-white deck could profit from this, but nothing else.

Handy little life gain card.

just lifegain can be boring, but it can also keep you alive longer. This works well with Felidar Sovriegn. 7 Plains=14 life, and your almost to the win condition.

There's a card that can make this card worth not having, and it is in the Shadowmoor block, I believe. It's called Everlasting Torment.

Pretty expensive, but if combined with something like Boon Reflection you could have some serious lifegain.

Bizarre combo that presents itself in Zendikar:

2.5/5, just can't see using it that much.

It's not a very good card, even for a lifegain deck. There's no card advantage, board advantage, and it only combos with a few select cards (Sanguine Bond, Cradle of Vitality, Felidar Sovereign). I've made a semi competitive lifegain deck (I say semi competitive as while it's capable of winning, it's a lot slower than most of the normal aggro decks out), and this card won't get a slot in either the main board or the side board - 10 health on turn 5 just isn't enough; that's only 1 to 2 extra swings from the opponent. If you want a 5 drop that gives you health, go with Baneslayer Angel. =)

Don't underestimate this card in the current meta. Assuming of course you have at least 16+ Plains in your deck.

Assuming no land ramping shenanigans, this is 10 life. On turn 5.

Rest for the Weary beats this card up and steals its lunch money.

Terrible card, overcosted, just gains life and does nothing else, and has awful art.

You may think its bad but you have no idea how satisfying it is to main deck it and play against a burn deck. It just makes them sad.

Depending on the game, Congregate and/or War Report are so much better.

I thought this was weak until one of my friends dropped this in a mono white deck. This is surprisingly powerful, especially when combined with Cradle of Vitality and Boon Reflection.

Combos with Plains.

If this was Mythic, and cost 3 more mana, it would be on par with Archangel's Light. WTF Wizards.

Bad card. Too expensive and simply doesn'T make any sense. 90% of all mono white decks are white weenie anyway, where pure lifegain has no place.
