Like all creatures with built-in sacrifice abilities, Armor Thrull got hosed by the M10 rules changes, but its still a decent card. For 3 mana, you get a 1/3 body that can effectively block small creatures and when it outlives its usefulness, you can sac him to give one of your better creatures some neat armor.

yea not a bad card and if you have a resurrection spell(the type of spell not necessarily that 1) you can bring it back from the dead and sac it again. also love the artwork on these cards even though i almost feel sorry for the thrull in this one. it just has such a sad look on his face but then again i also find some humor in it. also love the artwork on this version http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=1840

This is by far my favorite art for this card.

Kind of funny with Shirei, Shizo's Caretaker, especially if you have e.g. Fervor down.

Not MVP in a Shirei EDH, but it would probably get in.

Shambling Shell is a close cousin to this. Surprisingly, the pickings are slim beyond that:

Ghave, Guru of Spores
We're overdue for a reverse Fume Spitter, since M10 weakened Child of Thorns.
