Underneath the cities of Esper are cycles of life unseen by those who feed them.

Unfortunately you'll have a hard time casting this ( or should have done as well i guess), but it has a decent body and the effect is very useful for having both a cip/etb and a "pig" trigger. Being an artifact and dependant on format, Vedalken Engineer should do a great job getting this spider on the battlefield.

Not a Disciple of the Vault, but not completely unplayable.

I actually enjoy using this card. I like to imagine playing this with the esperzoa/parasitic strix combo.
This little beauty is an un-sung hero of the Esper assault force. There are several cards that have excellent synergy with him:
Sharding Sphinx - Make tokens, do damage. Tokens die, do damage. Rinse and repeat.
Master Transmuter - Bounce your creature to save him, bring in a tougher creature, and hit your opponent for 2 points of damage in the process. Oh, and power up your Glaze Fiend while you're at it.
Sharuum the Hegemon - If you're not doing the Sharuum/Sharuum combo yet, why not ping someone for damage as it pulls something from the Graveyard?
Not an amazing creature, but certainly a very good one who can unexpectedly tack on some serious damage while your opponent focuses on tougher threats.

I run 3 of this guy in a budget esper deck of mine, and he's quite the beast, I definitely think he's underrated.
He combos nicely with alot of artifacts. Borderposts, Puppet Conjourer, Thopter Foundry and Esperzoa all help to create lots of ETB and LTB triggers.Etherium Sculptor helps keep (re)casting artifact spells on the cheap and Courier's capsule gets the card draw.
Is it the most effective deck out there? No. Is it alot of fun? For five dollars it's hella fun!

The art is rather horrifying. Imagine finding yourself in an Esper sewer, only rounding a corner to see a decomposing head staring and chittering at you as its lanky, distended body suddenly shambles into view... Creepy.
Personally this guy seems pretty underrated to me. 4 cmc for a 3/3 artifact isn't that bad, and the 3 colors aren't that bad either as it's Esper colors. Seems like it wouldnt be hard to break; Thopter Assembly anyone?

Hilarious with Master Transmuter: Spend all that saved mana on drain.
