correct me if im wrong, but if theres a doubling season, does that make it a +4/+4 per sacrificed creature?

Such a low rating? Really? I think it's a fantastic devour creature. Any devour creature I would use needs to have a seondary ability which stops you from being completely screwed when you devour most of your creatures and then your devourer gets zapped. The life gain achieves this perfectly.

A zombified creature that eats other creatures to increase its own vitality? Well done black-green, well done.

This low rating surprises me... If you manage to combine it with Necromancer's covenant and Behemoth Sledge, you got a freakin' monster. And a lot of extra life.

Man, this'd go great with token cards.

That would be a negative on the doubling season, as it enter play with the counters in lieu of entering play, devouring, and then receiving the couners.

A surprisingly useful devour monster, especially when paired with Flourishing Defenses and a Wither focused Green/Black deck.

I like him, because with Reach of Branches and Morbid Bloom can become very strong creature with nice lifeflow.

@spoonish

Doubling Season doubles any amount of counters placed on a permanent you control.
This guy devouring 1 guy without it gets him +2/+2, and 2 life.
With Season out, he gets +4/+4, and 2 life.
I've always called Doubling Season a "calculator card".
Eventually things get rediculous.

As far as rating the card in general, I agree with most of the previous posters.
This guy can be a big deal if your Creakwood Liege has been out for a while,
Or your token production is maxed.
Or if it's just being a B.A. in general.

I agree, this guy is underrated. He is lifegain and muscle in one. I call him the Lizard King. He can help you out many different situations, that's what friends are for, gettin you outta jams.

I like to combine him with a Deathgreeter or two.

I kicked ass with this card. I really love it. Just imagin it in a lizard deck with a bunch of weak lizards and tolkens out! Every time I put it out it's at least a 9/9.

@krizwizard... It would seem that way, but no. The ruling on that situation is that D-season doubles the number of counters it enters play with as well, which is what made this card so broken with planeswalkers.

I've seen enough hentai to know where that tongue is going.
