Does this combo with Dauntless Escort , making a one-sided wrath for the enemy's blocking creatures?

yes, it does combo with Dauntless Escort to wipe their board but not yours.

I'm also thinking this one may have a place in R/W Reveillark.

Umm... Th3_Dark_On3, you only need to play 3 colors to combo with Dauntless Escort (red, white, and green).

There's nothing quite like turning Spectral Procession chump-blockers into lethal weapons.

This card will become good friends with Prized Unicorn.

This and Palace Guard = do want. However, you really need to play into this card for it to be useful otherwise...

Huh, so they do have venom in standard.

This is best used in multiplayer when one opponent attacks another.

Im running one of these on sideboard for my boros bushwacker deck, this is the only response i have to destroy those Sphinx of Jwar Isle. Can work too against other shrouded fatties on green colour, too bad you MUST have one the turn right after they cast the Sphinx.

Me and a friend made a Green/White/Red deck that has 4 of these and 4 Fog Patches. We run the taunting elf combo in there too among a few others, but you go on the offense and take out a bunch of attacking creatures an opponent throws at you without risking any of your own. Good card, I love cards that can be used in many scenarios.

I use it with Reconnaissance to remove the drawback when attacking.

I agree with Etregan, this is an excellently devious card for use in multiplayer, but I'm not sure whether or not it could be used in a competitive setting.

Use Master Warcraft if you are Sun Tzu, or have a WoW account, or if some other obscure background experience makes you ridiculously good at battle tactics.

If Master Warcraft is a samurai sword, this is a sledgehammer.
I like Sledgehammers. They are simple- the heavy end goes into the other faces :)

The only way Darksteel Myr can kill anyone.
They punch it until their fists break and they die of bleeding out.

Amazing in multiplayer. Just be aware that both the people you get with this will be gunning for you next game (or later this game if they are still any threat after this).

The combo with Odric is sweet, especially if you're using Thatcher's Revolt or Gather The Townsfolk!

Be that one guy with the Prison deck, and it's not very likely your opponents will attack you. They'll all just dance in your crosshairs.

situational combat trick but very powerful in a deck built around this card. I like to combo with Boros Charm

Use it after using boros charm or in an artifact deck with darksteel forge out.

Frontline medic or boros charm. As others have said, reconnaissance is great on offense and Palace guard is great on defense, but this card is more versatile than than people think. Tokens. Have more 1/1s than your opponent has creatures? Block each one once, or attack all out with only tokens. Then cast this. It makes your little 1/1s all trade up, clearing your opponent's annoying creatures out and letting the rest of your things beat face.
