great artwork and interesting effects, yet they are unfortunately a bit costy.

btw, that's the first WUBRG land using one specific color in particular - and not being green - as well. oddly enough, all other goats ever printed are red, not white.

yap, but it was kinda supposed to go along with Springjack Shepherd in any mono white deck.
without the shepherd, i don't think it would be any use...

I use these in my red goat deck. It's a shame that the Mountain Goat and Zodiac Goat are the only critter cards that actually read "goat". Guess you could use changelings, though.

Useless. Who doesn't run a Goatnapper these days?

If you really, really want to run this card, add in token-multiplier cards like Doubling Season, Parallel Evolution, and Rhys the Redeemed.
>Since Rhys is in there, may as well Elvish Promenade for some more doubling shenanigans.
>At which point you add cards like Shields of Velis Vel and Mirror Entity to make all your Goats Elves and all your Elves Goats.
>Since you're already playing a ridiculous deck, you can play with Wort, the Raidmother and conspire your Parallel Evolutions, Elvish Promenades, and (just because you can) Shields of V.V.
>It probably won't be until, like, turn 30, but when you feel you've had enough fun you can sack all those Goat Elf Goblins to Springjack Pasture, cast your Banefire and conspire it to kill two other players (because there's no way you're going to pull this off outside of multiplayer).
>Of course, you probably could have won a long time ago by using Mirror Entity to pump your myriad of tokens, but then there would be no point in having Springjack Pasture. And if you're not playing Springjack Pasture, then you probably would never have built the deck in the first place. So if you do try to win with Mirror Entity, your deck will implode from the paradox of its existence.

Interesting how Magic has gone from removing pentagrams on Unholy Strength to wholesale goat sacrifice.

Huh, the Eldrazi larva are goats. Who would have thought?

Perfect sideboard for Planechase. Because I'm fairly certain it's a law that all Planechase decks HAVE to have Goldmeadow.

If your deck has room for colorless mana producing land, this card is not a bad addition. It's nice when you're manaflooded and you're just trying to stay alive, but it's too mana intensive (essential 5 mana for a 0/1) to really shake up a game.

It's a nice card to sit on in multiplayer games, since no one really pays attention to the guy that only has three or four 0/1 tokens on the field, and they're great for chump blocking the stray creature that does come your way.

And, when it's time for the alpha strike, you sack a few goats for extra mana to play your big spells, or drop a Glory of Warfare or Overrun and just kill them with goats.

A solid card, but if you're looking for a 0/1 token producing land, Kher Keep is a little better. I run both cards, and it's bit of a shame that I usually end up tapping Springjack for mana to help create Kobolds.

I run it in my Kresh EDH. It does next to nothing for Kresh himself but considering I run a good quarter of the deck with mana ramping, I like to have something to waste mana on during those slow, political games. Like someone else said, 0/1s don't draw much attention. They are also good devour targets for a surprise Predator Dragon. :-D

Rosewater goes for all that trouble for the "Tribal" supertype (which for some inexplicable reason is actually a type-type?), and this isn't a "Tribal Land- Goat". Talk about missed opportunities. Shameful.

Great in an "Old Testament" themed Kaalia of the Vast EDH deck. Slaughtering goats to power out angels and demons is almost as fun as casting Ashes to Ashes and Dust to Dust one after the other.

Does not come into play tapped. Good land if you have room for some colorless land base. More plays from a land that doesn't come into play tapped is 5/5 from me.

There are no goats whatsoever in the artwork. Makes sense though. :P
