If I played this is an Ally deck, does it make the ally abilities trigger like adding counters onto them for an ally coming onto the battlefield or does it have to be a creature. It's confusing because this card is concidered every creature type even though it's an instant. Please help.

This will change every creature of yours (or another player's, if you choose) into Allies. It will not affect the ones in your hand until AFTER you play them, I'm pretty sure. Don't quote me on this.
Guys, guys. One mana for mass +0/+1 is pretty nice, and might help turn the tide of a battle, and the ability to completely bork up the field with tribal shenanigans? Glorious card. You all should be ashamed of yourselves for not immediately looking at this and giggling.
It actually doesn't effect them at all. Shields sets up the effect when it resolves, when something comes in later it wasn't around to be effected by Shields. If it did work like that, allies would trigger ETB stuff because everything would enter the battlefield and *immediately* be an ally.

Looks like it would be great in a sliver deck if you don't want to use only slivers. This card could be the key to opening up many possibilities in that regard, removing the requirement of sliver only creatures.
