Epic-great late-game killer. No lie. Espcially since you basically get it for free....

Just give it regen... Somehow. If you're playing mono-red elemental, that isn't really a possibility.

White splash for prevent all damage auras. Green splash for regeneration. Or just go ahead and nuke everyone and who cares? That's what this card is all about.

Horde of Notions EDH deck? Where your whole strategy is to throw elementals into your graveyard so you can recur them? Hell. YES.

Depending on how your elemental deck runs, I'm guessing this guy'll be around 5 damage at the minimum when you pop 'im. Potentially a lot more. This guy can take out almost any major threat that's been terrorizing you, and has the potential to become a recurring doom cannon, especially with the ever popular Darksteel Plate.

If you can keep something like Spirit Mantle on it and a stocked graveyard through something like as mentioned earlier then you are game for clearing the field in your favor.

Maybe a Test of Faith or two before too many Elementals hit the yard?

The Flamekin lord, Incandescent Soulstoke promotes Elementals going into the gy.
This can get out of hand quickly even moreso with something like Spark Elemental, Hellspark Elemental, and Ball Lightning.
