This card has an incredible artwork but the ability is rather odd. Need creature destruction? Nekrataal is your friend. Need large hard-hitters? Well, there's Demigod of Revenge and other pals.

Works well with Morbid Bloom. Summon it, sacrifice it, use MB, and presto! Eight Saproling Tokens!

Just use a Fate Transfer. You get an 8/8, and you get to shoot down target creature.

What I like about this card is that for once it's a card that deals with tokens that nobody is going to mention Doubling Season, of course I just did, but I think I've gotten my point across.
With bad moon and doubling season this guy makes enough quillspike food to oneshot someone. Without the doubling season it just not have enough power.

I really wanna slap Fists of the Demigod on him and watch my opponent take some serious thought towards what to do about it.

@poprockmonster: He's not totally useless with Doubling Season; he enters play with 8 tokens and immediately dies, allowing you to put 16 -1/-1 tokens on whatever you want. If you have a burning need to kill a Darksteel Colossus, that will do it.

Doubling season works fine for this. Distribute 8 -1/-1 counters for 6 mana. Not a bad removal spell.
