Goblins are fantastic at swarming, so a card that gives them all first strike has amazing potential. A playset of these is a must in any goblin deck, if you ask me.

Don't be lured too much into the goblin direction. This can be a good addition to many monored decks featuring aggressive creatures with high power and low toughness.

Goblin War Chief, Angelxlegna? Well, that's a synergy, but when already talking about Onslaught Goblins, Goblin Piledriver would be my first thought using along with that guy.

Puh-leeze. This is fantastic in ANY red creature deck.
He himself being a Goblin is just gravy. Delicious, nutritious gravy.
Possible alternatives include Rise of the Hobgoblins and Knighthood - interestingly, both Rise and Bloodmark Mentor were printed in the same block. Generally speaking, though, mass-granting of first strike is only very recently red, and this guy is an excellent way to do it.
